Anyone else having an issue with Sirius since upgrading? Occasionally when I get in the tuck and start driving Sync will not switch to Sirius. I hit the "Sirius" button on the screen and it beeps but nothing. AM, FM and Bluetooth all work but not Sirius until I shut the truck off and restart again. I did a master reset and it didn't fix it.

Yes, I’ve had that problem on and off. I never did a reset, would just wait for a few hours or overnight. I’m not planning to pay pass the trial so not getting used to it…

Haven’t had the problem for a few days and I wonder if it’s connected to the never ending downloads I seem to be going through every day for the past 2 weeks.

I was mad my Ranger wasn’t auto updating to 3.4 but after this thread I think I’ll just stand back and wait. 3.3 works fine.

Call Sirius and asked for a signal refresh.

Yes this is a bug with the 21020 Build. Ford is aware of the problem as well as the issue with Travel Link.

I believe you are correct. After the downloads finally completed (over three days) Sirius is now working all the time, every time.

Edit: See my post #314.

Yep, I had that problem too. At first I had no SiriusXM at all, but a signal refresh fixed that. Then a few times SXM would freeze (sometimes with, sometimes without music).

I never checked the status of all of the downloads happening in the background, so I cannot comment on where I was in the update cycle. But after a day or two the issues went away completely and now everything is functioning normally. I just had to be patient...

Yup, ya gotta wait until the truck is done trying to do all the new 'Over the Air' updates.
I had various XM issues, especially all the 'extra subscriptions', like weather map, etc.
Even XM support wasn't any help.
But, when the truck finally got done doing it's thing; all soon returned to normal.

Just my experience, so hang in there. :explode:

No problems here. Updating Sync wasn’t on my radar. When I bought the truck last year I brought it close to the house to get it on our home wifi. but then it was parked too far from the house for months until a few weeks ago. I moved it close again while my wife was away on business. Pepper found the house wifi on its own, updated itself and everything has just worked, Sirius and all. All I had to do that first morning was tap the screen to allow Sirius to do some kind of update. I forget the exact window, but it popped up after I started driving that first morning, and sorted itself as I drove.

I did a master rest on the radio and it has worked fine since. two days now and no issues with my Sirius. Before the reset I had the exact same issues as yours. According to my updates I had all the latest and greatest software when having my Sirius issue.... I tried multiple times to force an update for it only to come back and say I was up to date. As soon as I did the reset it worked right away.... fwiw.

Yes. It happened to me yesterday. I was listening to SXM, turned the truck off, then back on. When I turned it back on, no sound on SXM. I can change sources to FM/USB, but then cannot go back to SXM on the head unit. It resolved after the truck was turned off for a while. I did not have this issue previously. I suspect a bug in this new Sync release, which my truck just auto updated to recently. If this continues to happen regularly, it will become very annoying.

Yep that's a bug with 21020 along with Travel Link not working most of the time.

The same thing is now happening to me.
