I did the same thing a couple years ago. Thought it was the caliper, bought a new one, bought new pads had the heated up wheel when driving etc etc. it’s a very odd design.

This is the correct answer. I had the exact problem the OP is stating and it was the pad pins not lining up exactly the way they need to on the caliper.

I was not a believer in catch cans and still not fully convinced they’re needed. However I did put one on my 25 RR mainly because it was not that expensive and super easy to install. After about 500 miles I checked it and was surprised that I had about an ounce of brown gas smelling crap in it.

Good luck with that! A month in and I added hood dampeners, window tint, upgraded fog lights, catch can, Unleashed tune, tail gate letters, window rain guards, weather tech mats and maybe a few other things I can’t remember. Haha.

100% true. I’ve found that talking to them professionally and respectful goes a long way. But yeah there all different and some service writers are in power trips.

I had the transmission completely rebuilt with 113,000 miles on the truck covered by the Ford Extended warranty and Unleashed Tune installed since about 5k.

Another vote for Torrie at Unleashed. He’s turned 2 of my Focus ST’s, 19 Ranger 2.3 and now my Ranger Raptor. He does a fantastic job with safe reliable power and smooth shifting transmission.
