Can’t speak on CAI intake either but I did consider that for a while, Mishimoto seems to be the one with the most HP/torque gain but when all is said and done I could not justify the $$ for the 6hp gain or so. I do have the 3 inch catback exhaust from MBRP to open it up a bit. From what I’ve read our stock intake does a pretty decent job, I’ve been tip toeing around possibly getting the AEM drop in dry filter for about $40, might get 2hp gain ?
before I changed over to the roush CAI (because I had the money to spend on stupid stuff ?), I was using the AEM drop in. I don’t have a lot of miles on it, and I’ll be glad to take any offers on it before putting it on the open market. Glad to have you on the LMS team ?

I’m sure it sounds really good and gives you some gain and being Roush, I know it looks good! ?, I’d get one if money wasn’t a factor haha. I still haven’t completely made up my mind on the drop in filter, being in dusty Arizona, even though I don’t do much if any off-roading, I get nervous about drop in filters ability to keep out the dust. Did you like the AEM filter?

Thanks for the feedback. What about the MPG consumption after installing the tune? Are any of you guys that are also running bigger tires noticing any improvement in the mileage with the tune?

I have 265/70/17 (32's) and I noticed about 1-2 mpg increase after tuning mine. Now this is IF you can drive it normal and just getting on it once in a while. I keep traction control off too.

Working from home, I’m not able to really get an accurate “normal” MPG reading, I drive very short distances these days, a lot of stop and go and even so I’m getting about 21 MPG with the tune. I’m just estimating but once I start driving farther again, I’m thinking probably averaging closer to 23 or 24 easily. I think others with the tune, who drive longer distances were able to post those numbers.

honestly, I think it is a quality filter. I live up in CO, which isn’t as dusty as AZ, but with the one oil change I did (as well as taking it out to replace it with the Roush), it still looks brand new. I originally went with the AEM, because I liked the appeal of having a dry filter that I didn’t have to worry about putting oil on. I can’t speak much on cleaning it, but I’m sure it’s just as easy as dropping it in and forgetting about it ?

Can definitely confirm this. Before my level and tire swap (275/65/18), I was averaging 24-26 mpg for mostly city driving with “highway” like roads (2 lanes @ 55mph) intertwined (about 60/40 mix). Now I average 22, but it seems to be increasing slowly.

I did forget to mention I have a 2.5 inch level kit as well, stock tires though (255/65/18) once Its time to change them up, thinking of 275/65/18 as well.

Has anyone here put their truck on a dyno, and durable checked livernois tunes?
Also why no mention of what the claimed power increase is?

I to was asking Livernois for some dyno's. So I can see the differences between all tunes. Especially the tow tune & E30 tune. But they said they'd look for them and then nothing :-/

I was on the fence about getting it for months and all I can say is I wish I did it sooner! It's like driving in S mode on steroids. ? What's nice is you receive all 5 of their tunes to try out and see which one works best for you. I would recommend leaving it in for at least a couple tanks to adjust itself. I've been running the 91-93 performance tune since last August and love that one but some love the tow tune and the lower end power of it.

I have 32's and it you can recalibrate the speedo with this too. When I first added them and the 2.5" level I lost about 1-2 mpg but since tuning have gained that back as long as you drive it somewhat normal. You can see my average in my sig and I do a few WOT every now and then. ;) Their customer service is excellent and they will walk you through the instal if needed but it's very easy with the directions they provide. I have never tuned any of my trucks before but I'm glad I did with this one.
I second this. The customer service and ability to choose from the 5 tunes is awesome. I ran the performance tune for a long time and loved it but now running the tow tune and, while it's not quite as peppy, you can definitely get it moving when you need to.
I was on the fence for a long time like @AzScorpion, but just like everyone else has said, it’s 100% worth it! Have had it tuned a few months now and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Livernois is responsive, easy to work with, and I don’t think you can beat their customer service, and that’s not evening mentioning how clean/good the tune is! Have only tried the 91-93 performance tune (I have all of them) but I love it so much I have not had any need to try any others haha. Driving around in “D” mode feels not too different than stock unless you stomp just a little bit, or you can put in in “S” and it feels like you’re in a different vehicle, in the best way possible! If you pull the trigger, I guarantee you’ll be happy you did. Hope this helps.
I did it. Ordered 5 minutes ago. SO STOKED.

I've said it before---make sure your on a lonely street that is straight. With the tune, it pulls harder than my 04 Lightning did. And enjoy responsibly :p
