My baby has been maimed.... ???
Not even 14k on her. I'm assuming that she's going to be totaled, but she's going to the shop tomorrow for evaluation. Thankfully my wife and I are ok.

Wow Brett sorry to see this but so glad you are both ok. I just went (am going through) something similar myself right now. I hope yours goes more smoothly than mine has because tomorrow will be a month for me. So glad these Rangers do what they're supposed to in an accident..Protect us!

Wow, sorry to hear about your misfortune but you’re all healthy! See what insurance say’s. They could get a salvage bed and bumper and have it squared away. Looks like your trailer hitch took a good amount of the impact energy.

Thats the truth. She definitely held up much better than the Grand Cherokee that hit me.

Yikes, looks like there may be some hidden damage so will be interesting to see if another one bites the dust.
This! While I knew mine looked bad I never realized how bad until it went to the shop. Once they got it up on the lift there was so much more than you could see from the ground. Good luck Brett I hope it goes well for you.

As of now I'm seeing, at least..... new bed, pass taillight, new tailgate, bumper, hitch, and the creases in the frame in the pics.... not hopeful... ?

That's a shame. I hope you and the wife are OK. "Things" can be repaired or replaced, no so us.

Yikes, did someone put a contract out on Rangers? Glad your and the misses are OK. Looks like a hard hit. Definitely some frame damage going on under there. Hope everything gpes well on the claim. Getting hard to find replacements for the 5Gs, new ones at least.

Glad you an yours are ok. I didn't think it looked bad until I saw what looks like the frame pushed back to the shackles. I'm not a fan of saving a vehicle if it has frame damage but if it's still square an the only damage is behind the suspension mounting points I'd be ok with it, especially now with the Tom Foolery the dealers are trying to pull. If I took this hit an was having other issues with the truck I'd be trying to dump it by having it totaled. I've had no real problems (one check engine light) in 42K miles so I'd be trying to save mine if the damage is reasonable.

Good luck how ever it goes.

Hi Brett,

Glad to hear you and wife are okay.... Glad the Ranger did its thing and kept the crash pulse low so you folks have no injuries... Ranger did its job...unfortunately it is like a fuse... and not a circuit breaker.

Best,
Phil
