Sounds like a great job seeing the backcountry. Hard to believe that Silver City was the county seat as it is really isolated. At least the county seat was never Dickshooter (It's real), named after an actual man Dick Shooter a 19th-century pioneer settler in Owyhee County, southwest Idaho.

They do have a couple pit toilets for visitors. Most houses are privately owned and get vandalized so they are locked up. Some people use the old cabins for summer camps.

Beautiful location! Great trip but that road takes a good 45 minutes. The lack of snow this year kept the road pretty good as the gate for the city opens memorial weekend. Only the hotel and two gift stores are open and a full time caretaker stays in town all winter. No way would I stay at the...

Ranger made a trip to Silver City, Idaho a mining ghost town in the Owyhee mountains. The Silver City stretch of HWY 78 starts with 7 miles of paved road then another 15 miles of dirt/gravel road. Town Hotel Lodge Church School

I put mine back to stock a couple months before bringing it in for the TSB. Your symptoms sound like you will have further damage so probably a much higher price. Not sure if they charge differently for warranty work vs out of warranty.
