40 months on original battery. All lights and radio come on, but truck will not start. I'm looking at the Everstart Platinum from Wal-Mart as it has a 4 year warranty.

I believe if you just drive the truck for a few miles and then restart it, the next time you go in reverse the guide lines will come back. Something similar happened when I disconnected my battery for a short time.....reversing out of the drive way - noticed no guide lines on the...
Take plenty of videos and pictures. Keep track of his big achievements and his favorite words when he starts talking. They grow so fast and before you know it.... you'll be saying (just as every other parent) "Where did the time go?"
Received the MBS transmission dipstick last night (thanks Mike)....on the 3rd anniversary of Ranger ownership (27,600 miles). The plan is to install it Saturday after taking down all the Christmas decorations.

Steven, could be that your battery is going bad. Take it to the dealership and have them test it (there are numerous posts about short battery life on our Rangers.....and threads on how to extend battery life).
