Standards (safety, emissions, etc) are different for the US. It's easy to say "you shouldn't change it" but they changed it for the market they are selling it in. Plus, we (the people on the forum) are the minority for our desires. Most people don't want/care about the interior. I find the Ranger interior to be good. People want the USB charger in the mirror trip (or wherever it is located) and I don't care about that. Nothing in this thread (or the other complaints I have read) matter to me. I bought this truck knowing what I was getting. While $40k is a lot of money, it's not for a truck. You want those nice features, you'll have to not buy the 'base' truck. Let the hate ensue. I know that I don't represent the majority. I've never seen a truck review (for the 'small' truck market) that doesn't complain about the interior in some way. That includes the Tacoma, Colorado, and Ranger.

Someone, please tell the illumination isn't something that has been removed after the 2019 model year...
That is way my 2020 model year looks including the PRNDS. I don't have the 4 wheel drive controls.

All of the complaints so far and, not one person with manual seats has complained.... YET.
I dig that both the driver and passenger seats can be raised BUT, I do NOT like the fact that, when I raise the seat, it feels like its being tilted forward instead of supporting my thighs like it should.

Eventually, I'll find a set of power seats and make the switch.

Everything else, im pretty much ok with. I bought a XL supercab knowing that the interior storage space would be limited. Its a truck. I have a truck bed for that reason.

Coming from an '89 VW Vanagon Westfalia, my XLT feels pretty luxurious. No complaints..............well OK, maybe heated mirrors.....

The Lariat gauges are very disappointing. You can't see the tach and fuel mileage at the same time. The digital tach is super tiny. The media screen on the right is a joke, it's huge and displays almost nothing. Silly to compare to my former 911 maybe, but all the screens were assignable, doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do. If I had the time I'd learn Forscan and put in an XLT gauge set, it appears to make way more sense in the photos I've seen. I agree with all of @Dr. Zaius 's complaints above as well.
i have a lariat and on the left my fuel mileage shows with tach and then fuel tank gauge... different settings will get you there.

After the chip shortage is over the buyer will get a chip implanted to auto program you to the controls, etc. The possibilities are endless. LOL

I don't see a setting on the Lariat that will show Coolant Temp, Tach, Fuel Level, and Gas Mileage/DTE all at the same time, which is possible on the XLT.

Power seats adjust the exact same way.

Why would you monitor MPG all the time? Seems to me a lot of the info in the fuel economy menu is useless.

Yeah, that works.
But those are the only two buttons I have trouble with.
If, after putting more than 700 miles on it, I might find I need the full braille setup.
Then I can take classes to learn braille.

my only complaint is the mirror controls are behind the steering wheel ... I don't use them much, so it's not a biggie
Weird thing about that is when I first got my truck I was expecting the mirror control to be on the driver's door arm rest. Having grown up with mostly Fords & having owned a few, without thinking that position behind the steering wheel is where I reached next and...there it was.

Try Loc-Dots. I add them to any computer keyboard that doesn't have the F & J key locating bumps so I can type without looking. Nearly invisible and just big enough to find by feel.

Or these that are similar but coded with different "bumps" - I've not tried them yet though.
