  1. Been Fun

Thanks for the condolences. My advice if you are in a decades long marriage and you are still each others best friends is... be selfish...die first. As for pictures: About the transmission, I don't know what they did between the 2021 Ranger version and the 2025 Bronco version, but SO much...
  2. Been Fun

But according to members of this forum Ford has corrected the slipping bushing and software problems. After 2022? 23?
  3. Been Fun

Since my Wife got sick with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in early March and passed from transplant complications in late november 2024 I realy haven't been on here much. It was really her truck. Now I've gone and traded it in for a new Bronco. With locking axles on both ends. No more worrying...
  4. 4WD swap, Adding quality of life

What these other posters said....or buy a rear ended totaled truck and a beater daily driver and have at it.
  5. 10R80....Are they all ticking time bombs?

Need to get my coffee before I let my fingers loose. Still. Ford has to love you guys.
  6. 10R80....Are they all ticking time bombs?

Do the math. Each dealer is replacing 5,200+ a year? Do all 70,000 in your county own Ford's with 10R80,s?
  7. Ford CEO admits 'the customer has spoken' amid company's worst performance slip since 2008 financial crisis: 'It's a big miss'

Chrysler Corp was before, during, (remember the K platform?), and long after Lee a "hot mess". But your 6 figure Dodge/Plymouth all had the worst build quality of the big 3. Iacocca had nothing to do with them. Before his reign. Never lifted a head off a Mopar that didn't have a major ring ridge...
  8. Transmission Fluid/Filter Replacement Cost

Full fluid replacement requires a flush because torque converter drain plugs were deleted decades ago. So a pan drop, filter replacement, and replace 1/2 the fluid or a flush, pan drop, and filter and all fluid?
  9. 12 Worst Pickups (youtube video)

I guess Nissan is the winner.
  10. Ford CEO admits 'the customer has spoken' amid company's worst performance slip since 2008 financial crisis: 'It's a big miss'

We must have lived those years in an alternate universe if you considered the illustrated vehicles to be "reliable". My preferred rides were Chrysler products and I can attest that Plymouth/Dodge build quality was sub par but the torsion bar suspension handled way better.
  11. Ford CEO admits 'the customer has spoken' amid company's worst performance slip since 2008 financial crisis: 'It's a big miss'

I kind of took most of 2024 and 2025 off from this forum so what did I miss about the rear springs? Never mind. I found the post.
  12. Nuance of Cruise Control.. and why it will matter to a few

I was in the right but died in the fire when somebody rear ended my truck full of LPG.
  13. Nuance of Cruise Control.. and why it will matter to a few

When I Was getting paid to haul large quantities of liquid propane down public roads the company I worked for paid to fly me 600 miles and put me up in a hotel for 3 nights to take a drivers training course. The Smith Course. The gist of the course was use whatever legal means to create space...
  14. Nuance of Cruise Control.. and why it will matter to a few

You run people off the road when you don't like that they can't maintain a speed? How would you know that somebody was doing this to you? Especially since you are paying so little attention to your own driving that you simply didn't use the left lane and go around the car that was driving slower...
  15. Stolen tail light thread

If you have the acreage a few hogs convert garbage to bacon and ham.

  17. Nuance of Cruise Control.. and why it will matter to a few

Too many of us don't have enough to do if I get multiple responses this quick.
  18. Nuance of Cruise Control.. and why it will matter to a few

I really don't like ACC I really don't like people racing up behind me then slowing to my speed and just sitting there when they could easily pass. I get to show that hate for both by slowly slowing down when the ACC guy gets behind me. It's a game. Best so far was 76 MPH down to 57 MPH. Then...
  19. Why do you back in when parking?

#2 Forklifts have the steer wheels at the back for a reason.
  20. Why do you back in when parking?

Pull Pull through in a parking lot or the angled end spot are the preferred, backing in is second. A pull through next to the dead end of the cart return!!!!
