2021 XL 4x2 w/STX Special Edition. MSRP 23,280, bought for 29,700.
XL Spec. Ed. gets you:
Cruise Control
18" Black/Silver Aluminum Wheels
265/60 R18
SYNC3, SiriusXM, 6 speaker radio
Dual Zone electronic climate control
Carpet flooring
Trailer Tow package
Fog lamps

I was interested in an XLT 4x4 SCab Sport with MSRP of 34,500 with 2,000 rebates/discount, but price jumped up to 36,500 a week later. I offered 32K but dealer wouldn't budge below 34K. I didn't really want or need 4x4, so made the deal on the STX

Anyone know if dealers can/will do the $2000 cash back incentive they have on Lariat right now WITH x-plan?

It probably depends on the dealer. I think I read a post in this thread that one dealer wouldn't honor the x-plan.

Yeah, I’m hunting for a Lariat Tremor here in Atlanta and I’ve had one dealer just straight up refuse to honor xplan - which to my understanding it is optional for them to take or not. Supply is low here, I get their motivation but it is annoying.

I paid X-plan and got the $2k incentive on my Lariat Tremor about a week ago, had to work to find it though. Spoke to a number of dealers in the area and had more than one tell me they weren't going to accept X plan. One dealer even pulled the discount after putting a deposit on a truck. Pricing generally was A/Z Plan or MSRP, nothing else. I ended up having to drive about 2.5hrs to find a dealer that would accept the discount and had a truck on the lot.

All dealers I reached out to in my area are doing MSRP minus incentives, not a penny less. Only two were willing to order me a Ranger and accept X plan while locking in the incentives available at the time of order, but wouldn't take it on an in stock unit.

Hi Vitacura,

Dealers not bound to accept X plan, A Plan, Z Plan or D plan. In fact Ford will not even offer any plans on Hot selling cars and trucks. I was on order for a Ford GT at a $100,000 premium and my new (at the time) darling wifelett said NFW.... Good by GT....sigh...

Picked up a 2019 4x4 XLT Super Crew with the FX4 and Appearance package 2 weekends ago.

Truck was Certified Pre Owned and came with the Gold package from Ford.

Paid $38k for the truck and it had 12k miles. Dealer gave me a 10 year 125K powertrain warranty and I paid out of pocket to match the bumper to bumper to 10 year 125K as well. COVID prices are nutty right now, but I wanted the truck and it was perfect.

Congrats! Didn't you also get the $2k cash back rebate?

I've been looking for a few weeks, but the dealer lots were limited here. I was looking at an XLT FX4 and have been getting quotes on a new 2021 XLT FX4 at $39k out the door and that doesn't even include all the bells and whistles. I started looking for a used Ranger instead and found a 2019 Ranger Lariat FX4 fully loaded with everything at 13k miles here at the local CarMax. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on it. Although I wish I was able to find the sports appearance package, but the chrome appearance package was the only one available locally and I settled for it.

I am using the truck mostly for daily driving to/from work, kayak fishing, and occasional towing a 21 ft travel trailer.

Price $38,998
Tax $500
Title $15
Registration $56
Out the door $39,574

Side note. I sold my 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD off-road 4x4 crew cab because after 80k miles on it, I could no longer handle the gear hunting transmission. Plus, I got a good deal on it even after 80k miles, $30,521 thru KBB to a dealer. I can definitely say the Ranger it is a much more comfortable ride and the transmission is so much better. Also the power and mpg improvements have been a joy.

Welcome to the “I use to drive a Tacoma” crowd. I won’t knock a Tacoma, they’re great trucks but the Ranger is just too good to deny at this point.
