All the dealers out here think they're sitting on gold. They're prices are so insane that's why I'm buying my Bronco in IA. I'm so glad I bought my Ranger when I did, I'd never pay these crazy inflated prices.

It's not just car dealers either, we're looking at RVs and they're all over priced here. The same exact one in MI (and a few other states) is $6k-$8k cheaper. You bet I'll make a road trip to save that much. I know it's supply and demand right now but they're selling a used 2018 for more than I can buy a brand new 2022 in MI.
I just noticed that the dealer I ordered through adds a lifetime warranty to their new vehicles. I'll definitely be asking the salesman about the details because it seems too good to be true.

The dealer in IA does too. The catch is you have to have them do all the maintenance and it's to far for me to go just for an oil change. lol Not a big deal as I usually don't keep my vehicles long, usually about 3 years.

I don't know much about these pricing plans but I ordered mine at the dealer and paid the price listed on Ford's website with a $1,000.00 rebate. Total price: $30,250.00 MY22 XL Supercab STX FX2 Velocity Blue spray in bedliner, auto stop/start delete (worth a $50 credit, lol). Great service, great dealership. Great interest rate. Ordered April 23rd, drove off on October 7th. The wait was long but well worth it in the end. Never purchased a new vehicle this way but I thought it was pretty cool, other than the wait. No haggling. Love my truck.

$4,000 could get you a new engine/trans...that's on top of what they "deleted" from 2019...

A Nissan dealer here in Abq does that, when I was buying my wife's Rogue they were 5k higher than the other dealer and kept telling me I was getting a free extended warranty! I never buy extended warranties and they wouldn't remove it so I bought at the other dealer and saved 5 grand.

Loveland Colorado.

I looked at a truck at this dealership 2 years ago when I was shopping for my truck. They were shady then, apparently leopards do not change their spots.

So much for Farley and his "cracking down on dealers" comment.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/ford-cracking-down-3-6-billion-dealer-markups

During the automaker's earnings call Thursday night, the Ford CEO reiterated his commitment to eliminate the "unreasonable markups" some dealers have been charging amid the shortage of new vehicles.

Wow - that is amazing. 6k in dealer markup and 6k for lift kit and wheels and tires.

A dealer here in Oregon did almost the same - similar package (lift, wheels and tires) for 9k with 2k in dealer markup. But it didn't have a spray in bedliner.

Those prices are nuts.
I think that's only one added cost, and its not really a markup plus the cost of the added parts. It's too much of a coincidence that the parts and a markup is the exact same price. (I hope)
