What kind of Mpg do you get? I get 10-11 with a 4500lbs TT @ 24ft.
Oddly, we had a late season front push thru and with an almost due north headwind of 15mph+ i got 10.5....coming home I squeezed 12.5 on S Georgia secondary roads at 55mph.

I’ve got a Jayco 174BH. Haven’t towed it with the Ranger yet, only hooked it up to see if I needed to adjust the hitch from how it’s configured for the Explorer I typically tow with. Seems like the receivers are within an inch or two of each other, so should be fine. Trailer looks level enough. Towing with the Explorer’s been easy enough (except in those 30mph headwinds we get here in the SW) and I expect the Ranger to do even better.

Ranger will do much better. I had a 2018 explorer and it did well towing. But the Ranger is a much better at it. Glad I made the switch

I haven't had the opportunity to tow it very far yet. Pulled it 260kms ( 160 miles ?? ) on 1/2 tank, no wind - about 10C out.

Took the new camper out this weekend for a shakedown. Only went 3 miles across town to our local campground. We wanted to be close to home in case the dog got weird, or we forgot anything major. I didn't add any air to the rear tires like I normally would for a such a short trip, so she looks a little squatty. I may have to take a closer look at the hitch too, I don't know. Supposedly 4,000# dry. I haven't weighed it. On the 100 mile home with it last weekend from the dealer, I was able to get 15.3 mpg (again, dry weight). I wasn't pushing it hard at all though. Don't mind the grass, I haven't been home and it's raining all the damn time when I am

Just completed our first 100 mile shake down trip that included one mountain pass (Vegas to Pahrump), highway speeds between 60 and 65, and city driving. Trip meter registered 12.2 mpg. Crosswinds were gusting around 30 mph, which the ProPride handled without issue. All in all, very pleased and looking forward to our upcoming trip to Oregon.

Hi Charles,

My wife and I tried buy a lot and build in Pahrump. What a nightmare.... She decided if we did build she would get a job as a Docent for the Brothel Museum attached to the Parhump Brothel....Sheesh!

You at Herbst Lakeside? I had dinner there one night with Troy Herbst and his borther as they were running Ford powered trick trucks and we needed to get onto the same page.

That Docent job sounds interesting...
Yes we stayed at the Lakeside resort, formerly Terrible's. Got two nights free from Johnnie Walker RV

And about the same in 3/4" washed crush so the dogs have somewhere clean to poop....

I plan on taking it to the scale next week...
Just got back from the scale - Trailer fully loaded with pots, pans, clothes, etc. weighed in at 4880 lbs, compared to MFG dry weight of 4539 lbs. With WDH hitch front axle was 20lbs less, the drive axle was +80 lbs, and the trailer axle was +60

Hi Charles,

Commendable! Smart move your part to know you are within limits...not just SWAG.

Kudos!
