  1. Camping Rig and Compensating for Winch - Stock springs with aftermarket struts/shocks?

Oh well aware. Same story in Alberta, especially once I'm loaded up with camping gear. My plywood drawers are built into the bed so no removing them. And as i said, they're full of shit. The trailer itself is super light (<1000lbs dry, ~1500lbs loaded up), all aluminum and a pretty negligible...
  2. Camping Rig and Compensating for Winch - Stock springs with aftermarket struts/shocks?

That's what I'm thinking, just want to have a bit of a game plan in place if it proves to mess with the stock suspension dynamics too much. Thanks QuickSilver. Do you know the spring rate of the coils on the 6112?
  3. Camping Rig and Compensating for Winch - Stock springs with aftermarket struts/shocks?

Hey All, Probably one of the few that don't notice any ride issues with the OEM FX4 shocks. That being said... Going to be installing a Warn VR Evo 10 (steel cable, not synthetic) on the 589 Fab mount. Already have a set of plywood bed drawers full of shit underneath the Softopper. Tow a...
  4. Your rig in epic camp sites!

Buckhorn Wash, San Rafael Swell Valley of the Gods Valley of the Gods Black Dragon Pictograph Panel *Not actually a campsite, but a fun drive down to get there.
  5. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Dump runs for my birthday. About 4600kg (~10000lbs) total in busted up sidewalk. And a dead tablesaw. Not all in one trip, the trailer can only fit about 1500-1600kg. And I have to hand bomb it in and out so... But before all that, we went on a late November desert sojurn, a little last...
  6. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Had a lumber/canoe/whatever rack that's compatible with my softopper built and installed. Tig welded, bolts to the softopper mounting rails, middle and rear crossbars removable so I can still fold the topper and carry tall things in the bed. Thanks to Mirek and Apex Precision Fab in Nelson!
  7. Softtopper now available for 2019 ranger

Just had a custom aluminum rack put together for the softopper. Tig welded, rear and middle cross bars are removable so the topper can still fold and tall items can be carried. Bolted to the softopper rail & an extra set of rail clamps in the middle to keep everything snug. Big thanks to Mirek...
  8. Is there any disadvantage to a SuperCab?

In Canada the Lariet w/leather is not available in the SCAB. That's about the only disadvantage I could come up with when I ordered mine. Would have been nice, easier to keep clean/free of dog hair. *Edit. Also the big and medium dog both fit fine in the back of the SCAB. It's roughly 2' x 4'...
  9. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Uhh, washed all the bird shit off and then bought a car cover because I park under a tree. Yea, I'm one of those people I guess. I need a garage.
  10. Softtopper now available for 2019 ranger

Well, that didn't take long. Thanks to the cold the rear vinyl window is cracked already. A little disappointed but not suprised. Guess I'll be ordering solid replacements eventually.
  11. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Back from work so swung by the tire shop and finally had the winters on the OEM steelies mounted after they'd been sitting there for two weeks. 265/70R16 Toyo Observe GSi-6.
  12. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Picked up some next to new OEM 16" steelie takeoffs with the TPMS for 200 bones last night, dropped them off at the tire shop to get some winters mounted this week. Hung it out sideways a bunch in this new snow.
  13. Clearview Towing Mirrors

Sent an email to Clearview to confirm, but I take it this likely means any aftermarket heated mirror (not just OEM Lariet mirrors) requires additional wiring on an XLT with 301A or 302A?
  14. Hitch Racks

Follow-up to the tailgate-thule interference conundrum. I went with option 4 and busted out the grinder and some zip disks.... It beats out the 1Up by only costing me $0.82 for a piece of pipe insulation, being available immediately for a perfectly good hitch rack and I can open the bed drawers...
  15. Coastal offroad rock sliders??

Keep us updated and thanks for the code! I'm looking at these for a quick winter project.
  16. Home built bed drawer design?

This. I lucked out and the Hi-Lift and traction boards both happen to be less than 5 1/4" tall.... Measure maybe and hope for the best doesn't always work. Drawer fronts and handles added today. Probably won't get to cubby covers this week.
  17. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Getting ready for the glamping trip down to Tierra del Fuego.... Also kicked a sawhorse over and put a scratch down low on the driver's door. Good thing it's a truck for doing truck shit and not just a pavement princess. Can join the rock dent in the hood and pinstriping down the sides.
  18. Home built bed drawer design?

Working on my own set right now. Platform base rests on the bed floor, platform top would cover the wheel wells if I ran it full width bedside to bedside, but I instead just cut down a 4x8 to cover the drawers and left it 48" wide. I'll make covers for the sides and front, pretty much the whole...
  19. Hitch Racks

In Canada and they ship exclusively with FedEx so it will be a bit pricier than that, not to mention it's out of stock/can't even add on to the cart, hence the waitlist. Not in a big rush anyways, the Thule works fine other than the tailgate interference, have a 3 week work trip coming up & I...
