Towed probably 300-400 miles in the last week or so with this little 4'x6' v nose! Borrowed from the in-laws! Even fully loaded, the truck doesn't even know it's back there! Nice and smooth and great help as we are slowly starting our move to a new house and getting stuff out of our current house to get it listed!

I’ve got a Jayco 174BH. Haven’t towed it with the Ranger yet, only hooked it up to see if I needed to adjust the hitch from how it’s configured for the Explorer I typically tow with. Seems like the receivers are within an inch or two of each other, so should be fine. Trailer looks level enough. Towing with the Explorer’s been easy enough (except in those 30mph headwinds we get here in the SW) and I expect the Ranger to do even better.

Heck getn old and soft...traded the cargo conversion! I would not pull it with the Ranger as most all the weight is front of axles. 800lb+ (bathroom and electronics, balanced better when the polaris was loaded) Reserved for the Dodge...
246RKS is our new accommodations. Did a LOT of research choosing this one. Spread axles with lowest tongue weight of any of the Freedom Express Ultra Light series. Pulls great.

Getn the party started.

1st loaded tow, 65 miles to Georgia SP.

Just a few days, so conservative load. (Ha, meet my wife)

Tongue looks good based on my estimate of load....yea, first trip by a CAT we'll stop. Wiggle room with tongue as spare is under aframe and could remove 1 propane cylinder. Added 10 lbs air (50psi) each tire to truck since empty shakedown. Think it will firm up the

SunRay 149 "Classic". Towed from northern Vermont through northern New Hampshire and to home in Maine. Very hilly trip about 300 miles. Handled great using Ford installed Redarc brake controller.

I like the vintage sort of styling throwback. I suppose that's why they call it "classic", eh. haha
Also, almost a color match too. You'll have to continue to get red vehicles over the life of the camper now. haha
I've only bought red trucks for over 40 yrs ago that's not an issue. Part of being an Asst. Fire Chief!

Please tell us how you like the camper sometime. Its features etc, etc. Looks like something we'd get.

I didn't realize the link to my camper was no longer valid, sorry!

Here is the link to the manufacturer:

We love our Sunray 149 camper!

Jayco 212QBW Rocky Mountain Edition. Picked it up last week, trying to get a few local camping trips under my belt before I head off on a 3K mile plus trip this summer. I have the ProPride 3P800 Hitch. Dry weight is about 4,400 lbs, overall length is 25'8".

How did the trailer “as built” trailer sticker weight compare to the brochure dry weight?
