Received my tune from Livernois tonight and can't say enough about their great customer service. Received a call from Anthony today informing me that my stock tune was four versions out of date so he sent me the updated stock tune to reload into the truck. Once I downloaded that he lthen sent me the custom tunes which I'm uploading now as I write this.

this is the main reason I picked Livernois over the fortune is due to the exceptional customer service. That and I also believe they know what the hell they're doing.

once I get some miles on it I'll report back and let everybody know my thoughts on the performance.

I did the same thing but I’m still waiting for the tune to be sent to me how long before they sent you the tune file?

That's great CS,can't wait to hear your results! This just reassures my choice to get my tune from them. I have no doubt the others are good but it's nice when a company goes above and beyond for their customers. For me it will be a little more of a hassle because I have to rely on a friends laptop (I have Macs) but it's worth it.

I got mine back the second day but I called them to ensure they received my stock tune as I had some computer issues initially. During our conversation I told him I live in the Upper Peninsula so can you help a fellow Michigander out. ?

Let me know what you think when you get it installed. Didn't get mine uploaded till about 10:00 and just ran to get fuel but holy cow! It really unleashes the truck! I asked for the softer shift performance also but I'm going with the straight performance to start. I figured once I have had enough fun I'll go to the softer shifting for better mileage. Even with that package it's nice to know you have the power there when you want it.

Awesome what fuel are you using? I won’t be able to drive the truck till at least next week unfortunately

Just filled it up with 91 octane with zero ethanol. We have a station here that has 93 octane but is 10% ethanol. I'm not sure if that's better or not. Pricing is the same so it really doesn't matter, just want what is the best fuel for the truck and will provide the best mileage at that price.

I received my tune files a couple of days ago. I loaded the soft shift performance tune on first, and I have to say that I was a bit ... underwhelmed. I've read dozens and dozens of reports from people on this forum and elsewhere about how a tune unleashes gobs and gobs of extra power and excitement from this truck and.... well... I don't have any empirical measurements (I'm not going to dyno it or anything) but the seat-of-the-pants feel is that there is a bit more power, but it's not a massive night-and-day difference.

To be fair though: I have not tried the straight performance tune yet, and it could be that the soft shift helps to mask some of the neck-snapping behaviors I've read about from other folks who go with the straight performance tune.

I'll be really interested to hear your impressions once you switch to the soft shift tune. Does it seem to have as much pull?

I am going to try out the straight performance tune next for a few days, then I'll try out the tow tune for a few days as well. I'm running 91 octane with 10% ethanol, as that's the best fuel available in my area.

FYI. The best fuel for the truck does have ethanol in it. The 93 will give you safer and better performance. Ehtanol has less btus per gallon so you might get a smidge better mileage out of the straight gas though.

I was going to try the soft shift tune first too but I think I'll dive head first into the straight performance one. Now if my tuner box ever leaves IL where it's been sitting for 2 days now!

Just be glad you didn't have to deal with Fedex in MI... I sent in my tuner to get it reflashed under my VIN, and the damn thing was stuck on a trailer at the distribution center that delivers to LMS for over 2 weeks!

I know back in March and April things were slow because of Covid but now it seems like they all use this as an excuse for their lousy service. Livernois sent it out hours after I placed my order Tuesday :like: but it got to Hodgkins,IL at 8:00 am on Wednesday and hasn't moved since. Oh well I've contemplated getting a tune for a year now so I guess a few more days won't kill me. Ok,I'm lying I hate waiting and it's killing me now.?

The straight 91 to 93 octane performance tune definitely has some kick but I do believe the shifting will smooth out in time. I'm going to run a tank or two on the this tune to see how the shifting adjusts. I'm pretty soft on the gas anyway so it's not that harsh for me to begin with but when you do get on it you can really feel the shifts. I emailed them a question asking if the soft shift runs the same horsepower or if it's tuned down a bit, I'll post as soon as I hear back. No doubt she's much, much quicker off the line and for passing it really gets up and goes!

I see you're from Houghton, I'm from Escanaba so we're close.

Thanks for the info, I'll go with the 93 (w/10% ethanol) at the Meijer station then.
