I lean towards changing my oil more often(4-5k), so I buy the lowest cost full synthetic I can find, such as Super Tech.

I use what my mechanic uses and tell him to use full synth.

My personal opinion is it really doesn't matter as long as it has oil in it.

+1 for Mobil 1. And the matching filter.

I own a 2019 Ranger 2.3L ecoboost, the original owner bought it new and had always used Motorcraft oil, not sure if synthetic or synthetic blend. Should I stick with Motorcraft and if so full synthetic or blend? Im leaning full synthetic. Thanks
Full synthetic 5w-30 of whatever brand is the right price the day you're shopping for oil is the way to go

Edit: and pick up the motivX fuel filter wrench and oil filler funnel to make the changes a little nicer

We all have opinions like other body parts...with that said....I believe that the OEM spec is for synthetic blend. That is all I have run for years in all my Fords...(2) 2019 Rangers (Lariat FX4 and 2wd Sport), (2) Expeditions with ecoboost, 2011 F150 Ecoboost, and on. Also all my Dodge Rams and Jeeps. Synthetic is for high compression engines than any of these vehicles I have owned. If you change your oil at 5k or up to 7.5k miles, the blend works well and no issues. But, always keep an eye on the oil level and any strange containment. Usually you should not need to add oil between changes, but if you do add much more than 1/2 quart or so, you may have a problem. Using some oil is normal in any engine. Depending on if you are using the vehicle for towing, normal driving, off road use, etc, you may need to change it sooner. But...unless it comes from the factory with full synthetic, stay with the blend (at least till the engine has a couple thousand miles on it during initial brake in). If you feel the need and extra expense for full synthetic, then do it. Your choice, but really not needed.

Anecdotal but I thought Ford contracted with Mobil 1 for their house brand synthetic?

I use Mobil 1 full synthetic. Idk how true it is but I’ve heard that once you start using synthetic, you shouldn’t change back to blend. Apparently it can cause issues?
That was from the old days when the rubbers seals swelled with regular oil. I believe tolerances are better nowdays, i wouldn't run anything but synthetic oil in my cars. My son's Toyota Corolla was boight with 130,000 miles and i went with synthetic and it has ran fine for 50k so far.

Just my opinion but also take into account frequency of change. If you are a 5,000 km (3,000 mile) change person, the oil is less important.
If you run until the minder says change, I would use full synthetic. As others have said, reputable brand but shop the sales, if you can.
