When my battery started to die, I did notice ASS was intermittent. But, the final kicker was when I parked with the key fob in the console, unloaded all my groceries, and then came back to lock the truck and it was already locked. The key fob was still inside, and it was locked and I couldn't...
I was looking for a Lariat scab, and there were a few around, but I finally found what I was looking for 3 hours away. 2020 fully loaded scab, with actually way more than I wanted. It had been on the dealers lot for 5 months and I got a smoking deal on it.
I was holding out hope they would release it. They had a 6G scab that was seen in the wild in the US, and they have it in the rest of the world, but alas, it looks to be dead for the US market. sigh.
Guess I'll be keeping my 5G until the wheels fall off or the transmission explodes.
I bent a frame on a honda accord when I slid off the road in snow and hit a rock. That was 45 years ago and the repair shop was able to realign the frame, but lets be real, it's a crap shoot. In my case I traded the car and moved on.
Wish you the best, but I'd probably look for an exit route.
I have an Oct built 2020 with 30K on it. I've not had any issues, but a few times, from paranoia, I've thought "was that a weird shift?" Who knows? Everything appears to be working, and the only problems were probably just in my mind after reading this forum. :)
I knew there is dripping from the tailpipe, but have never noticed it has weep holes in the muffler. I suppose I haven't noticed it before because we have an asphalt driveway where we usually are, and our second home where we're spending more time has a concrete apron in front of the garage and...
I searched the forums but didn't find anything about this.
Just noticed water drops on my driveway, and found the bottom of the muffler around the end cap seal is wet. I don't hear any exhaust leak, but it's obviously got a hole in it. Is this covered? My 5 year powertrain warranty expires...
I have a factory spray-in and then I added a bedrug mat, not the one that extends up the sides but just the floor and the tail gate. It helps some to prevent sliding and it easier on the knees when crawling around.
@Grandaccess you can still get the bedrug for the 2019-23 rangers.
I have the drivers side box, and I like it. I store my hitch, ratchet straps, etc. My biggest beef is that it blocks the tie down loop, but I can live with it.
2020 lariat, oct build. I replaced it in Jan 2025. I would imagine a 2022 would make it through this winter, but you do you.
My first symptom was ASS stopped working, and then it locked the doors with the fob inside!
I have a local guy I've dealt with for 35 years. They are now 'hooked up' with all the record service info, like carfax, etc, so it all gets captured in the vehicle history reports. Probably not in Fords records, but in the vehicle history in the cloud.
As said, keep your receipts.
I too have the weathertech and they're fine. Only issue I had was I dropped one of the clips into the front wheel well area. Luckily there was an extra in the parts bag.
I have it slightly on my Ranger, and have had the same on a Toyota truck and other cars. Not unusual. Most likely rotors.
I always use tow mode in the hills so I don't have to ride the brakes as much.
OT, sort of. With smart phone apps (waze, google, apple maps) does it display to the dash screen, or are you just displaying on your phones?
I have never played with any of those apps, and typically the built in NAV works for me, but sometimes it's not correct, or a bit clunky to use.
