  1. What did you do to your Ranger today?

This triggers pre retirement employment flashbacks. “ a little past due “ oiled air filter. Great for turbo business though. Not jumping on you but that phrase was uttered many a time by customers with gummed up compressor wheels.
  2. What did you do to your Ranger today?

What’s the hose look like inside by the clamp areas. Any signs of starting to crack?
  3. The lowest tire pressure you've set? What was the terrain?

I do 20psi off roading and 12psi on the dunes. The short drive on pavement from the parking lot to the dunes is a little unnerving. I use the Viair 300P compressor
  4. Is this a normal amount of aluminum dust?

That sucks. But you’re still under the 5/60 powertrain ( I know you have an ESP) and there’s an active TSB addressing your possible situation. If your 3-5 shifts continue their quirkyness then I would definitely contact your dealer. This isn’t the same as the d/shaft lube situation you had as...
  5. Is this a normal amount of aluminum dust?

Were you able to retrieve your old filter? Just curious what the top looks like.
  6. Is this a normal amount of aluminum dust?

It’s worth digging in the dumpster to retrieve that filter! And maybe show them before your trip if possible. Glad you have the extra coverage.
  7. Is this a normal amount of aluminum dust?

You only have 9k and/or maybe a year and a half on your 5/60 powertrain that would cover this TSB. I would dig out that filter and bring it to the dealer to document the issue. It’s evidence of a problem along with your harsh 3-5 shifts. Should be enough to trigger the TSB. It may not “fail”...
  8. Is this a normal amount of aluminum dust?

The TSB calls it gray silt
  9. Is this a normal amount of aluminum dust?

Whats the top of the filter look like
  10. Is this a normal amount of aluminum dust?

Read this TSB and view the images within it. It addresses the aluminum and your truck falls into this category. Looks like an outer shell failure in progress . Your 2023 has the updated CDF drum but not the updated anodized outer shell. This is where the aluminum most likely is coming from.
  11. Engine grenaded due to water intrusion.

Water intrusion will join the forum phrase hall of fame. Let me know when the induction ceremony is.
  12. Engine grenaded due to water intrusion.

    The fans came on???? What??
  13. Engine grenaded due to water intrusion.

Sounds to me like they don’t want to fix it ( i.e. put a cylinder head on it) and instead just throwing a long block at it. Highly unlikely it’s a total engine failure. But you won’t know unless you ask.
  14. Engine grenaded due to water intrusion.

That situation usually ends up worse case with a cylinder head replacement. How did it evolve into a “ blown “ engine? Just exactly what was the catastrophic failure, like component wise?
  15. Engine grenaded due to water intrusion.

    This is one interpretation
  16. Sway bar quicker disconnects (no modification)

    Thanks, keep us posted
  17. 10R80 Transmission Cooler Project

Are you still planning on mounting this in front of the fuel tank? Or did I miss a post?
  18. Intake Valve Cleaning

I will concur on the “ pieces of carbon damaging turbine wheel of turbo” . It’s a thing, saw it many times in my last 10 years of employment at a turbo sales and service facility. I can’t speak to specific incidents involving CRC cleaners but the logic makes sense. Our shop never did that type...
  19. Auto stop/start disable?

    I’m still in this camp
  20. 2019 Ford Ranger with 27,000 miles Fan Clutch harness broke

Look on the inside of your old one mainly in the clamp area where it attaches to the engine. See if there’s evidence of it starting to crack. Also under the clamp
