I have used the drop in K&N in the past with no issues on turbo and natural aspirated engines as well. However, in recent years (15) I have used the Complete CAI systems and oil free filter kits. The drop in filter may not seal properly. However, both my 2019 Ranger Lariats have the Roush CAI...
I installed the true Borla catback exhaust on my 2019 Ranger Lariat SC 4x4....nice, but a bit louder than my other 2019 Ranger Lariat SC Sport 2x4. It has the Ford Racing Borla exhaust. It is quite a bit milder but still has an aggressive tone.
One more for the solutions...all potentially valid. But add fuel type.. 87, 89, 91, etc. Is your choice a top tier fuel...quality. I was having issues similar to yours, stumbling on WOT or semi hard acceleration. Was getting fuel at BJs (mid tier fuel) then back to Costco (upper tier fuel)...
The Ford Motocraft batteries seem to last around 5 years. In Mar of this year, I replaced the original one at the dealer. The Ford app indicated an issue, plus having just been at the dealer looking at a Blue certified 2019 Ranger Sport (bought it next day), battery failed briefly at home, so...
I've been considering the electric retractable steps for both my 2019 Rangers. Some act as rock sliders when tucked up. All parts are replaceable if damaged severely.
I did the Fox/Ford Racing coilovers and rears shocks 2+ years ago. 20k miles, no issues. I did 2 1/2" front lift. Perfect!
Don't forget...adjust the headlights, adaptive cruise and braking after the lift.
Better to warm up a little...30-60 seconds. It is a turbo and give the engine a chance to get oil pressure up...it is a turbo. Also after out for a drive, keep engine idling for a bit...15 to 30 seconds. This is my SOP on all vehicles...Turbo and non turbo. My first turbo (1980 Mercury Capri...
We all have opinions like other body parts...with that said....I believe that the OEM spec is for synthetic blend. That is all I have run for years in all my Fords...(2) 2019 Rangers (Lariat FX4 and 2wd Sport), (2) Expeditions with ecoboost, 2011 F150 Ecoboost, and on. Also all my Dodge Rams and...
Thanks for the comments, but the OEM 2wd Coilovers and rear shocks ride rough. Since I have the FX4s and I want to save money for now, just gonna use what I have. Stock tires (Hankooks) also ride rough as I saw on my other Ranger before I replaced with Michelin Trail LTX M&S. Before I replaced...
Just saving money since the FX4s are virtually new. Also, anyone know if they are taller so as to lift the front a bit without adding a spacer. Planning on adding Michelin LTX Trail M&S tires soon. Taller than stock Hankook tires. Put these Michelins on my FX4, son loves then.
I have 2 -2019 Rangers LARIAT FX4 and LARIAT 2wd Sport. I replaced my FX4 suspension with Ford Fox Racing system and now have the OEM FX4 system sitting around. Looking to install the OEM FX4 coilovers and rears on my Lariat Sport 2wd. The ride on the Sport is a bit harsh with OEM 2wd system...
Is the battery a OEM battery? These batteries are 'smart' batteries apparently. I have replaced the batteries on my 2 - 2019 Rangers this year (5+ years old ea), but had them done at the dealer due to extended and OEM warranties. No issues so far. Agree with the previous comment of connecting...
I have 2 - 2019 Rangers. 1st one is 4x4 Lariat w/FX4 and Black pkg and has original Sync3 look. My other one is a 2x2 Lariat Sport with the updated look. Subtle changes in look, but seems all the same. Our 2022 Expedition has the newer look as well. I do like the older look and digital button...
