Wow OP, talk about jinxed. I guess you only started posting last December and almost everything was issues with your truck. You said you had a tune from OZ and was looking into another company's at one point - you had issues with the transmission but the dealer never confirmed it. Pity to see...
💸 on the last day I was offered to 'extend' my Ford ESP (since the one I happily purchased from Granger has expired) I've gotten a somewhat hard to justify lowest priced/highest deductible three year's plan paid in monthly installments.
If the transmission goes and I get it replaced I'll...
Joined in July, posted a few times... John I hope your time on our forum was helpful! ✌
Maybe the new owner will find us and the failed fan clutch harness support was resolved.
I guess the overflow tank might be a benefit only if you are somehow running a correctly filled trans so hot it's expelling fluid like extreme towing, although a bigger fluid pan could offset that. Or for off-road where the stock vent might get submerged in water. Either way having the correct...
Deaver doesn't seem to list these on their website but in other threads they are a top choice as well if you typically carry 0-250 lbs in the bed. You won't give up hauling capabilities. Here's a vendor link:

Glad you beat the damper advocates on this. Freakin' zealots
With the Gen5 out of production it is going to be clear how this forum evolves.
Those acquiring a previously owned 5G and those of us who are goung to move off or stick with the truck.
I see owners breaking down into...
Bumping this for you - I have this setup, the second one UPR sold and have been happy with it over the last nearly six years. I routinely dump some awful looking crud out of it.
This is a great deal for anyone interested- just make sure you have the correct year for it!
I can only say that in order to do a good sanding, polishing and refinishing on the stock headlights you'd want to take them off the truck. That would be a lot of downtime and I'd probably want to use protective film even after that.
Now factory replacements are ungodly expensive and I've been...
Turbokits looks like a good alternative although that link is a little sparse on details.
I did get a response from Reed at Work Turbos, apparently he's a busy shop but the best approach is not to be in a hurry, get a used turbo to send to him...
He floated an attractive price in his email...
I got an ad in the mail from Ford to continue warranty beyond my end date on the ESP I purchased a few years ago. That wouldn't be remarkable except they knew the specific mileage on my truck.
Hello telematic tattletale.
Resurrecting this since those of use who bought ESP's (like through Granger) are looking at this in our mailbox.
The costs are now bigger monthly premiums with big deductibles since age and mileage have made those potential failures more likely.
I'm not even bringing up the inherent issues...
Here's a bump for anyone considering this plan. I took advantage of Granger's pricing and have been fortunate to have no issues which I felt were possible due to experiences shared here on the forum - some I still consider possible in the near future.
While I haven't hit the mileage threshold...
Welcome to our corner of the internet! Before you do anything you might spend some time going back through the years of other members experiences documented here. It'll help set expectations and plan for future expenditures for sure.
Some topics will solidify your choice in buying this truck...
My knee-jerk reaction is an idler bearing seizing up and nuking the belt. I haven't looked into checking what else might be running off that belt but if you get other check engine lights I wouldn't delay in getting it to a shop.
I tried to do mine with precut film and wasn't happy with the way it was working so never got it done. Wish I'd gotten a shop to do it while I lived in Florida. Now mine are starting to delaminate around the edges so I'm considering replacement headlights since removing, sanding and refinishing...
The dual injectors and heated steering wheel on the higher end units are the only thing I find attractive on the 6G. The injector setup for modding for more power and the wheel because I didn't realize how nice heated seats were until I had them.
The only thing to make it all better would be...
