I ordered a replacement shifter boot for my Lariat because the e brake boot looked so much better. Totally unnecessary of course - only I will notice 😉. I hope it's easy to do.
Just wanted to follow up - Mike sent me (#21) the 'updated' i.e. additional verbiage on stick version. Side by side the measurements are identical just a little more twist in it I presume for ease of withdrawing the dipstick.
This accessory and Mike as a designer and vendor are every bit top...
Rock Auto just got the generic sensor back in stock, a third of the OEM cost 🤔 and while I've learned some aftermarket parts are garbage this isn't some potentially life threatening component (like a hall effect sensor for a Chrysler crapping out in heavy highway traffic) someone here claimed...
As far as making them for Broncos, maybe you can make friends at a Ford dealership and get access to one of their demos? The guys at UPR had a relationship with the dealership I bought my truck at and they were able to develop the dual vacuum catch can.
I can't imagine a reason to travel at speeds over 85 MPH for any extended distance. I would believe a 2WD Ranger's driveshaft to be on par with a Mustang so no fears there. Just because I put H Rated tires on that are designed for my weight vehicle does not mean I'm cruising the Autobahn. Should...
I see in another thread you added a defouler and didn't get any more CEL's. I know the EPA is gunning for those and someone would have to go to some offshore resource to get those.
Which might get caught in areas that require inspections.
'off road use only'😉
Between the wild price swings on the replacement part and the frequency of having to replace it I would think there is some way to improve the design. A sealed diaphragm over the sensor to isolate it or some way to neutralize whatever is ruining it. Maybe just the mounting orientation...
At 44K miles my dealer recommended brake, coolant and tranny fluid changes. The transmission procedure they suggested didn't drop the pan or change the filter, just back flush the whole thing and cost over $100 less than dropping the pan and swapping the filter. I might go for that and the brake...
With my handy dandy new electronical caliper I can confirm the front factory sway bar is indeed 27mm in diameter at the frame bushing and 100mm bolt to bolt for the bracket. As of yet I haven't found any quality replacements. An option I might pursue would be getting smaller diameter bushings...
True, the limited number of US 5G Rangers makes ours a bit of a cult vehicle - we've got people wringing out bugs and detailing tweaks to keep the truck attractive way after factory warranties fade away.
The banner at the top of the ad vs. KBB value at that mileage 😆
The person who traded it in probably got fifteen grand towards another vehicle and if the dealer got that much for this they'd still have the profit from the new sale - unless Billy Howell got it from a wholesaler.
It would be a...
You need to un-install the tune before you take it in. I suspect they couldn't re-flash if there was one and if it was forced over a tune esp one that already disabled ASS or adaptive learning it would cause havoc. I presume the programming updates tables for the valve body and would have to be...
The back-flushing didn't require removing the pan or replacing the filter and I was told it would cost less than $300. After seeing the thread where a member dissected a transmission filter I suppose at least initially it won't harm anything. I still have the extended warranty if all else fails...
I was at the Ford dealership service center getting 'the works' and had a chance to pick the service advisor's brain about the transmission - he had some 2018 Ford that had failed and he used the extended warranty to get his replaced - he was aware of the CDF drum redesign. I mentioned I was...
