When I imported it into Solidworks it said it was like 80000 mm long - this one is ~ 9 inches not bad for a guess.220 mm
Of course, like all advice this is unsolicited and feel free to tell me where to pound it lol

Once I get through with a couple projects I have stacked up, I might be able to be talked in to printing a few. Won't charge anything more than shipping for them.... Just need to free up some time, and I'll only be making a very small number of them....like no more than 5.When will it be available to purchase![]()
Why wait until you retire? ?Even though I haven't experienced the issue, I'd be interested in one as well if you have one to spare. After I retire, I may start exploring 3d printing....
Time, mostly. Retirement is looming, so it won't be too long. 3D printing has always interested me - I will need to learn the modeling software which will probably be the biggest challenge for me. I've dabbled in 2D software (CAD drawing for plans), but never 3D stuff. It should be interesting. Why wait until you retire? ?
I get it - before you retire check into if where you work can get you a discount on any of the paid 3d modelling softwares. . . I get Solidworks for 100 bucks a year as a Veteran, but also from being a government employee (for private use).Time, mostly. I work for a bank so I doubt I'd have any discount like that. I've heard/read that Blender and/or Sketchup are pretty good and both are free and open source.I get it - before you retire check into if where you work can get you a discount on any of the paid 3d modelling softwares. . .
