If you haven't spent any time watching this shops videos, they have tons of information and it is laid out much better than I could ever explain it. They do bunches of 2, 2.5 and 3" shock tests.
I am not affiliated with them, at all. I just think they provide a good bit of information.
Which...

Welcome to the forum. Lots of information around here. The search feature can be your friend - But don't be afraid to ask questions if you can't find the answer. Some folks here can be a bit brisk, but they...
Shock feel is a 100% subjective thing based on the loading, and use case for the vehicle. Any (nearly) shock can be revalved to fit the vehicle and driving style of the user. . . .
Let us start with - why do you think you need a 2.5 inch body shock?
To clarify I was referring to shock usage over time and performance degradation.
There is definitely a difference in stock FX4 and fox suspension components.
I will also add, I just clicked over 20k miles on my tremor and I "feel" a difference in performance since new. This is completely...
Don't mind the music . . . It was my daughters choice, I swear . . . She is 11 going on 35. . . .
I'll just leave this here . . .
Is the video showing up?
does YT work?
When we drove cross country I wanted to tow our subi on a flat trailer and the uhaul wouldn't even consider renting it to me without a larger vehicle. The lady was so apologetic, but I told her I understand they have liabilities to worry about also.
Fun story about 7 pin on a subi . . . A...
I'd argue the biggest safety Hazzard with a trailer is the owner/driver 😂
A trailer used and towed within spec is fine.
When the owner/driver is out of spec is the problem...
We all make assumptions based on our experiences.
Me, I assume all rv's are overloaded unsafe monsters because of my experiences. I know that's not true, but I treat them all the same way. I cautiously pass them, so if they have an accident it is behind me and won't involve me.
Shrug
That is how this becomes such a nuanced conversation though, me towing a 3500 LB trailer with my ranger is different than a person who tows the same trailer with a f350 vs a person coming from a corolla.
And toss in the type, size and loading of the trailer you have an infinitely large number...
I think all of this goes to inexperienced people who shouldn't be doing something looking for reassurance that it's OK.
Hell a cousin of ours went out and bought his first TT because he wanted to get into RV life. He and his family went to an RV show, he found a camper he liked that was at the...
Dealer.
But more importantly, what's causing them to peel... Automatic car washes? Aggressive soaps eating away at the adhesive backing? Polisher hitting the sticker peeling it? Bratty kids picking at the sticker while you're not looking?
I think the first thing people should consider is, should I be towing a trailer of this size.
I'm not supportive of anyone going out (ranger or other vehicle) and buying a trailer that's at the top end of the capacity if they aren't experienced at towing.
Common sense isn't a gene and way to...
All they have to do is point to the underbody damage and say you abused the vehicle.
It sucks. But at the end of the day, these trucks are not intended to land on rocks. There is no way for you to determine the damage from the original hit didn't cause additional damage that caused the tranny...
You could be remove all the weights, from all the tires and take it back to the dealer... If the wheel comes back with the same amount of weight, there is your anwser....
Or take it to a reputable tire specific place....
