Yeah, he was towing the F-150, and even though the motorhome was a class a diesel, IF the F-150 had a good supplemental brake system, if applied, it would have slowed the runaway MH. Remember, the gain on all electronic controllers can be adjusted, all the way to the brakes locking up.
A careful on/off/on/off of the controller would have at least slowed the MH, possibly to the extent the accident would have been avoided.
Again, I'm just throwing possibilities out, as we weren't there, have no idea of the speed involved, and how much time, possibly seconds, he had to react.

He should have put it in neutral and started to hit the F-150's supplemental brake system...possibly would have slowed the rig enough to avoid the accident.
Tho, it's easy to "Monday Morning Quarterback" when your not directly involved.
It’s a diesel, most likely( or should of) had either an engine or exhaust brake. Betting it wasn’t activated due to inexperience???

From my now fav site - RV fails, the poster kept a positive outlook on things though as their tow vehicle didn't flip.

I think I posted on this (Ranger 5g) site about my RV fail - on my 1st trip I somehow forgot to close the black tank valve after using the dump station, so the 2nd time out when I pulled up to the dump station and removed the pipe cover - it was disgusting and ran all over the ground, RVs waiting behind me grinned and asked "1st time RVers." Spent the next 10 minutes washing down the pavement to make the dump area less of a bio hazard. Lesson learned.

"Here’s mine, too much weight in the back of the trailer… kept the car from flipping though, was a brand new trailer… wasn’t a fun day"

Towed this. Stepson will use it as a house. Got a strange look from some dude in a Ridgeline. I think he was saying

I wish I had gotten me a maverick, so I could have a real truck.

Hey @cfhgarza , that looks like a ton of memories in the making. ?

Towminator will be by shortly and will likely tell you…

“If you plan on towing/camping a lot, look at the ClearView Mirrors.”

Steve. You up yet? Can I get you a coffee?
