I use 255 75 17. I don't have to move a thing all stock truck. 80 i think would rub unless you had a level or lift kit. But i believe pizza cutter is the way to go. Worked for me so far, and i only have an fx2.
Love the pizza cutter tires!! Much more contact front to rear vs side to side. The longer tire works for me anyhow, does not seem to eat my mpg either. I have a smaller 255 75 17. Its an fx2 all stock, except for my tailgate assist, and they make a huge difference
GEN-Y HITCH!!!
Best and only hitch you'll ever need. If you need something beefier they make them too, such as heavier weights for 150s, 250s, 350s. But this is all you will ever need!! Atvleast for the ranger.
Best out there. Get a torsion if you want, GEN-Y makes those too!!
GEN-Y HITCH
My 2020 xlt 4x2 ranger had regular road tires said 35 psi on the door. It had 255 65 17s
My 2022 ranger xlt fx2 with the hancook or whatever at factory tire, says 35 on the door jamb too. Came with 265 65 17s
I put some bronco 255 75 17s on it now and i run them at 33 psi mostly.
Only mod was...
Yeah, id be pissed. I use my truck as a bit of a work truck, so it has scratches and dents. But s#%*, its my truck! When someone else puts a new dent or scratches, i would be upset.
Fuel induction cleaner is worthless. Direct injection engines. To clean intake valves the carbon needs to come off the vaves. No liquid cleaner does that. So remove the head and clean the valves. Its done by sand or pecan shells or something like that. Or taken off and replaced or cleaned. Just...
Its probably a short in the dome light causing interference with other canbus lines causing the whole ford needs a module for everything, go wack. Good luck.
But looks like most members have The solution and things to look out for. Good luck, hope the tecjs can find the problem. Isee module...
I have 255 75 17 on my 2022 xlt fx2. Absolutely no rub. All stock vehicle.
Except for
The tailgate strut assist.
Tires really make a huge difference. Used forscan to adjust the speedo too. Mine is the ranger with the aluminum rims
After seeing the video, i do not even know how the tranny actually works, that is a marvel of engineering, i can barely make a seesaw. Never complaining again about the transmission
Yes that happened to me once!!! I thought the truck just turned off. For about 2, 3 seconds, as i pulled out in traffic!! But just once since then nothing.
But, oh well, i just drive it and do maintenance. If it blows up hopefully while not towing. So.....just like death, it could happen...
Sorry to hear about your troubles. My 2020 xlt 4x2 ranger had 40k when i traded for my 2022 Xlt fx2. now i have 33k. Driven 73k total in a ranger. Only complaint is the bed bends super super easy. Dings and scratches really really easy.
Dont know what to tell you.
