Fair warning, this Forum will cause you to go near Bankrupt due to the crazy mods including the Tailgate Damper!! Just ask @AzScorpion !!

As for tires assuming you plan to go OffRoad I would Recommend the Firestone Destination XT. Great tire and mich lighter than the KO2 in the smae size and load range.

I have had very good luck with the ridge grappler on my old truck. At the end of the day I am looking at getting on 33s and able to have fun. I m not building this to be a crawler. I want do trails and “overland”. Dream is. Pre-runner but that is out of the question for a daily. ?

Just picked this up yesterday. Have had my eye on one for awhile now. Finally got the go ahead from the boss (wife) ?. Within 4 hrs of owning it I had the fox 2.0 kit from Ford. I will continue to update the project as I move along. Any insight would be very helpful. Looking to run 33s.

Sharp truck, love the color. I was in England in 2017 and saw a lot of Rangers there, knew I needed one, finally got it.

That sharp looking XLT is a great starting point Sean. I’m sure whatever you do, it’ll look great.

Check out some of the member showcases or build threads and you’ll learn a lot about how folks managed to squeeze in 33s and the pitfalls to avoid when it comes to offset, spacers, and crash bars.

Have fun with your build!

Has anyone done the Ford Fox 2.0 kit and have any recommendations on leaving it at the factory set preload or increased it?

I took mine to a shop after doing a poor job of installing myself, they adjusted the preload from there. Iirc they come stock at 2.5” lift which should be about level. Adjusting shouldn’t be necessary.

Welcome Sean! I am sure you will love your Ranger and this forum. Lot's of great mods and trucks here to get ideas to spend your money. There seems to be lots of Colorado people on this forum!

Don't have the ford kit, just the regular 2.0's. Shouldn't need to adjust it further. I've had mine at stock since i got it and love it.

What size tires are you running with the 2.0 kits at stock settings?
