I have been running Falken Wildpeak AT3W's for a couple years, the AT4's are just an evolution of the same technology. They're very quiet as far as road noise is concerned, and handle everything I've thrown at them quite well. Snow/ice traction is excellent, as are more typical Colorado off...
As a quick update to this, I placed an order for some 315/75/16 AT4W's through discount tire on Monday this week and they showed out of stock when the sales person placed the order. I heard back about this on Tuesday and Falken confirmed there is a back order at least in this size which is not...
Bump. Inlet adapter is just a rubber reducer coupling. If you have a different size snorkel inlet, a coupling to your inlet size would run about $20 on Amazon.
I had my Ranger for a bit over two years before selling and going the route of two vehicles. For me, I think it was the right truck at the wrong time.
I had a handful of gripes about the Ranger experience that pushed me in the direction I am going now:
1. My Ranger was fairly modified, but...
May not necessarily fit your budget, but I recently sold my Ranger to go the 2 car route. My new daily is a 2013 VW Golf TDI which is notorious for its reliability and gas mileage. I've been getting mid-high 30's MPG combined and low-mid 40's highway.
Purchased my SnorkelUpgrade for my Ranger but sold the truck before I could install it. Still new sealed in box. Has a 3.75in inlet adapter for the Mishimoto/Borne Offroad Ranger snorkel. Asking what I paid, $219. I would use it myself, but I need the larger SnorkelUpgrade for my Land Cruiser's...
Did you do this at the same time as new tires? When I went with larger tires, I still had this issue after adjusting the tire size in forscan. To my knowledge, the tire size does not change the calibration of the safety system. In short, recalibrate your radar/lane keeping system and see if the...
Thanks! Not a whole lot of traction yet, couple messages on facebook but nothing too promising. Would much prefer to sell to someone who will use it how I built it. Returning to stock and parting out the mods is a last resort.
Bump... re-listing as it is built currently before I return her to stock and part out the aftermarket bits separately. A little over $15k in mods all said.
This is for someone who is looking for a built truck, not a stock truck at book value.
PDR might be able to take care of that for you. That being said, our roofs are steel. At least make sure any cracks in the paint are sealed to prevent corrosion.
Nobody stopped ford from making a solid LS competitor, but Ford wasted too much time on the modular/triton platform. I won’t say coyote swaps are uncommon, but they’re certainly more expensive and don’t have the same aftermarket support that the LS platform does. It may feel wrong to swap an LS...
It may be blasphemy, but as a former LS-driver, I see the appeal. They're simple to work on, have endless aftermarket support, and make power pretty easily.
LS swap the world!
