What are you guys towing?

Yes it’s a 19BHLE. Slide is huge and makes all the difference as far as room. Huge window is great also. This will be our first full season pulling it. Pulled it with our Honda Passport for a couple of trips last season . It “worked” but ?

haha, man, we started with out '16 Honda Pilot AWD which is why we ended up with a Ranger. The Pilot did okay but the Ranger does GREAT.

The only issue is my wife ALWAYS compares the Ranger to the Pilot's interior, that is the only thing she does not like about the Ranger. The Pilot/Passport interior for sure is much nicer. I love the Ranger all around though.

16’ scamp, about 2,500-3,000 lbs.
At 62mph I get 13-15mpg depending on wind. Just did 1200 mile round trip, stopping for gas every two hours. Didn't want to get much below half tank, range anxiety.

We had our camper out this past weekend but haven't processed those photos yet!! (I crop, adjust color and reduce there size) Here is some taken today while grabbing an implement at the trailhead. Winter is really over here.

Spent the weekend camping and towing this Rockwood Roo 233S. Towed great, 6,000 pound WDH. Took it up and down twisty mountain roads.

No issues going up and down and plenty of power to spare.

I did however put a dent in the tailgate while i disconnected the truck i didnt pull it far enough away whil opening it up. Ah well the first dent takes the pressure off.

If i can swing the cash i can use the clearview mirrors. The clip ons worked but i have lost one already.

No issues going up and down and plenty of power to spare.

I did however put a dent in the tailgate while i disconnected the truck i didnt pull it far enough away whil opening it up. Ah well the first dent takes the pressure off.

If i can swing the cash i can use the clearview mirrors. The clip ons worked but i have lost one already.

That’s exactly why I put a damper on. Same thing happened to me on my F150

My little mileage destroyer. Probably a little over 1200 lb with my trim carpentry tools loaded in, but I take about a 6 mpg hit when I pull it up the interstate. It's not even kind of aerodynamic, so I'm not really surprised, but it seems to punch above its weight. My flat trailer inflicts way less MPG pain.

Ah yes the dreaded first dent, always the hardest. Especially when you do it yourself, have no one but yourself to blame. Nice looking setup, seen a few like it in campgrounds but haven't been in one yet. Bet that kills the mileage, with that frontal area.

Yes, not so much the weight but the frontal area that kills the mileage. With my TT I'm happy if I can get 11-12 MPG on the highway. If I keep it under 70 might get a little better.

Yea the milage sucks, however 4 out 5 planned trips this summer are less than 40 miles from home. weekend getaways with 2 toddlers. So even 12mpg, is barely 8 gallons of gas round trip.

now that 12 mpg was with a mix of 87 and 93, as I normally run 87 but added 93 to fill it up.

93 straight is closer to 14mpg.

When towing our trailer, I just don't worry about fuel or it's cost...you don't haul a 6000 lb trailer around with a truck without using gas, and you didn't buy a truck and trailer for it's fuel effincey....it is what it is. Our trips run 200-400 miles one way, and gas is just one of those expenses that's factored in.
I use 91/93 when towing and 89 for regular daily use.

A PDR guy could knock this dent out for probably $150-200ish. You would still see the grey where the paint was scratched off. Although it would be much better looking.

I had a hood dent on the Ranger fixed for $160. You can't even tell it was ever there. Our hoods are Aluminum too, which is harder to work with than steel like the tailgate.

Been thinking myself. Since i did it sat. I havent had a chance to stop and ask. Some quick touch paint and it would be mostly invisible.
