Thank you I appreciate it!
Having bought the BDS, I'm wishing I'd gone with the ReadyLift. The BDS are much smaller than stock and I wouldn't trust them to perform anywhere near as well in an accident. The Fabtechs require you to cut off the factory nuts which I wasnt prepared to do either. I agree with @DukeCanBuildit

One more question for you, any advice on the removal of the stock ones?
Save yourself the aggravation and cut the backs off. The fronts I used the same method as @bfastr

Yep, I agree too. For these same reasons I bought the ReadyLift beams after already buying the Fabtech's. I still haven't installed either yet though, but ReadyLift going in soon!

Yes sorry the Fabtech's appear to be super stout and I thought they might offer the most clearance as well, but they require more hacking on the truck. The ReadyLift look tidier more like OEM and states they have undergone FEA to verify the design whereas Fabtech makes no such claim.

Nice, wish I knew about those when I bought my Fabtechs.

Readylift intrusion bars.
Minor trimming on the black aero piece in front of each front tire.

I know MPG was a concern for the OP, but something I haven't seen mentioned that much is that the wider contact patch of the tires makes the truck feel much more planted at speed, IMO. Not sure what implications this has for the steering rack though ?

Alot of the difference can be with the tires and the suspension. For tires it comes down to the load rating(P vs LT) as for suspension I noticed a HUGE difference between stock to Old Man EMU. I had some try and call bullshit until they road in the truck.

I know this is a thread for those metric 33's on 17" wheels... but I thought I'd throw my 16s setup in the mix...

- Old Man Emu (Heavy Load) Suspension Kit
- Total Chaos Fabrication UCA's (to regain caster)
- Black Rhino "Arsenal" Wheels in Sand on Black (16x8 and -10et)
- Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires (285/75R16)

The front crash bars had to be cut for clearance, but I've torqued and twisted it a lot and have absolutely no rubbing at all, on or off road. My MPG hit was about -3 on the highway and -5 in town. I don't feel the need to regear or anything, as the turbo and 10-speed never seem to miss on finding the powerband I need.
