Just stumbled across the Falken HT02 which is at least a tiny bit aggressive compared to most HT tires. Not a lot of info out there on them but the specs are good…700AA with a 70k mile warranty.

Also just stumbled across a Memorial Day sale on the Michelins at DTD…$110 instant savings. May call my dealer tomorrow to see if they will price match.

I put Kuhmo Crugen HT51s on a prior SUV. Really liked those overall compared to the factory Goodyear Forteras it came with. Not sure why I picked them, probably rating vs. price ratio.

I'm likely going to put a set of this size tire on my Tremor wheels and get aftermarket wheels.

I'll post pictures when that happens. Just need to find the right tire deal...

This coming weekend I'm having Continental TerrainContact H/T installed in 265/70/17, up a size from stock 255/65/17. Looking forward to posting the pics and giving a bit of a report on their performance for me. I don't do any offroading at all, so my focus is a long-wearing and quiet street tire. Hopefully this will fit the bill....it's my very first set of Continental tires ever.

I apologize for not updating. I ended up having the Falken Wildpeak H/T installed in 265/70/17. Overall, I’m very pleased with them. They are a very aggressive looking highway tire. Of course they’re still new but they are silent and ride good. Best pic I have at the moment.

I imagine this won't be very popular but I'm considering a straight highway tire for my 21 (Michelin Defender LTX or similar). I do not off-road and comfort and quietness are at the top of my list. I wouldn't mind stepping up to 265/70 just to fill the fenderwell a little better and because it's a much more common size than the stock 265/65. I went through every single post of the 265/70/17 tire thread but there is nothing but AT tires to see there.

If you've done it, post a pic or two please. Thanks in advance.
I just put on a set of Continental TerrainContact street tires. Drive home was impressively solid and quiet on both street and freeway. I'm hoping to continue liking them...

My Michelin experience on past trucks has been excellent. Catch them on sale or a holiday weekend deal with a rebate.
Considering them on my 95% road 2wd Ranger or the cheaper Firestone Le.

I apologize since this is an older thread, but are you liking the Terrain Contact? I'm considering going up one size to a 265/65/18 and using the Terrain Contact instead of my stock Hankooks. Any affect on gas mileage?

To answer the earlier question, my truck came with the Hankook Dynapro AT-M in load range C. I don’t need the AT tire or the heavier load range. They are quiet and smooth now but I wonder if a standard load tire would ride a little better and also how long these will stay quiet.
Your truck came with 6 ply tires new?

I was going to recommend those, or Conti terrain contact HT can’t beat them for the money.

+1 on the Firestone Destination but I haven't tried the Michelin. Props for thinking about the real function of the vehicle for you vs. what others might think looks cool.

The tires are every bit as quiet as I had hoped for, and they make the truck feel (to me) a bit more stable. That said, I seem to have lost about 2mpg (so says the truck's computer readout).
The speedometer does need a tweak of calibration, and I have a possible problem with one of my rear tires, as I seem to have picked up a vibration at highway speed that cannot be balanced away. My dealer is replacing both my rear tires in hopes this solves my problem (possible manufacturing defect?).
If that doesn't fix the vibration, I suspect I'll be spending time with my Ford service advisor to see how we can make it go away.

You might want to look into Road Force Balancing the tire. It can be a pain but can solve a lot of problems!!

Hankook Dynapro ATM in LT265/65/17 load range C, yessir. I think it was a factory option. I didn’t order the truck. Bought it off the lot. Not something I needed. Nor the FX4 package. But they sold the truck I went to buy and this was the next best thing. I was tired of looking, lol.

Hello, I know this is an old thread. How are your Wildpeaks coming along? I am also looking into these tires at 265/70r17. I just got a 2021 Ranger XLT Sport 4x4. Did you need to level or lift?
