Why did YOU choose a mid-size truck?

1. Simple enough, I don't need a full size truck.
2. Better fitment in garage, parking spots, small enough that the fiance can drive it if needed
3. Better suited for our 4x4 trails
4. Better MPG
5. My genitals are not in need of an automotive extension
Agreed on all parts. I would add one of my own...

Cost-I like nice things, I've always preferred to have all the available options when buying new. A comparably equipped 1/2 Ton would be too spendy for my liking.

For two of us, our SuperCab is the perfect size for everyday, hauling, and off-roading.
Huge bonus: It easily fits in our garage.

And THIS . . .

1) It's plenty big enough to haul Costco shelving home. Even four sets at once.
2) Fits in the garage with the stubby antenna. It probably wouldn't with a tailgate damper though.
3) Definitely easier to handle driving, parking, on trails, and when grabbing food to go.
4) Allows me to waste money like I did on my Jeeps.
5) ...
6) Profit?
7a) What everyone else has said already.

This is my fourth Ranger and I actually went up in size from my 2001 to this one. Mid-size my eye!

Size, didn't need the full size just me 99% of the time. Easy to park even though its still a bit tight at times. Only regret is not getting the supercab. looking back would have rather have had the 6ft bed vs 5

Looking at replacement for 96 ranger 25 years old still running good

hopefully a new one will last me that long
December 2020 traded in my 97 2wd Ranger. Trusty truck that lasted until the frame rusted out. Still be driving it if it weren’t for that! In a 2020 XLT 4x4 now. Man, I’m liking this ride so much more. Power delivery produces wide grins. Ironically the mpg for both is about the same! No regrets here

Size, maneuverability, utility and fuel economy. Initially, I wanted to look at getting a Maverick but quickly started looking elsewhere after learning of the pricing and wait time debacle. I saw the Ranger and started to assess the entire midsize category. Compared the Colorado, Tacoma, Ranger, etc. Did not consider the Frontier. I test drove an STX and really liked the Rangers in general after that point. Ended up buying my XLT new.

It was time for a new truck and my wife had difficulty getting into my lifted f150 AND she bought it for me. I was a little sad getting rid of my F150 FX4 but it was 15 years old. After a month of driving my 21 Ranger FX4 Lariat I couldn’t be happier.
