That's funny, I just ran mine down to 2 miles yesterday, and it took around 18.9xx (can't remember exactly).

I always try to fill up when there's around 1/3 left, it's not good to let it go way down especially with the heat we have here.

Looking back at my Fuelly app the lowest I've ever gone was 18.399. I remember we were heading to Flagstaff and I wanted to make it there to fill up because it's cheaper there. That wasn't such a bright move. lol

I was at zero miles to empty, drove for a few more and pumped in 19 gallons, which really means I had a couple gallons few left I think, by the time you include the filler neck, it certinally was the most dollars I have poured in the tank.
A couple gallons left? I think we have a 19 gallon tank.
The most I pumped, 18.4 gallons, with like 12 DTE.

I usually fill up on Fridays. That got pushed a couple times and I filled up on a Monday. Just over 70 litres!

ive gotten down to single digit numbers before putting in my back up fuel and it sounded very empty and hollow lol. my gut said any second the truck was gonna sputter out. I dont remember how much to get back to full but it was more than the typical 15 gallons.

A long time ago the wife had a 2003 Explorer, I had run it down really low, the wife says get some gas before you run out, I say I can go for a while! but I pull into a gas station anyways, idling there the thing shuts off, ran out right at the pump, boy oh boy, was she chattering at me.

I think my max so far has been about 16 gals.

i got in the habit of pulling the handle after first click as my previous GM truck had a weird design bug (I think), where if you topped it up (something I always did before), the charcoal balls in the canister would float up and clog fuel lines. A very unfun repair.

I put 18.8 in once, truck claimed I had another 20 miles left but that seems dubious

When towing our trailer, I carry an extra 6 gallons in a boat motor type tank that I can transfer into my truck if needed. I do wonder what would happen if I were to run out. So not to hijack this, but has anyone actually run out? And if so, how much of a hassle was it to get going again?
