My mileage is staying about the same but I think I hit the gas harder than I used to
Yeah if you are having more fun with the truck and driving a bit harder on the throttle than before the tune that can happen. But you're probably getting more smiles per gallon at least!

I didn‘t realize how nice these tunes are until I had to put my truck back to stock while the MyCal device was updated. I had it stock for several days and the stock configuration really blows. Getting ready to flash the performance soft shift tune. Can’t wait.
It's funny how often I hear customers say similar things after going back to stock for a service visit and things of this nature where they remove the tune. Once you get used to the extra power these EcoBoost engines gain from the tune it's very hard to go back to stock without it feeling like a slug.

So crazy story... Using the soft shift 91-93 performance tune, I was able to net a personal best 25.0 MPG on my last fill up.
That is excellent, glad to hear you've been enjoying the benefits of the tune! Has to be one of the best fuel mileage reports I believe I've heard from our Ranger customers.

I have the same problem. I think the options boil down to this.. Run a windows emulator on our Mac, or buy a cheepo windoz machine.

I'm leaning toward the separate machine, so as not to soil my Macbook.

You’ll definitely need a PC running Windows OS to run the software.

Running a VM won’t work with the software. Alternatively you might be able to if you partition your Mac to run boot camp. (Not sure if that’s the solution, but I know for a fact that running a VM does not work)

BootCamp will work. I'm running a dual boot with Windows 7 on a MacBook Pro and am able to use the software. ?

i mean if I don’t plan on changing out my tune all too often and just need the windows for the stock tune uploading and new stock downloading then I should be able to just use a friends .

Super cost efficient; I almost did the same, but I needed a new laptop anyhow ??‍♂

I still prefer a desktop computer. For the occasional laptop needs I just grabbed a cheap craigslist one....there's a guy near me that gets the old ones a few companies lease an returned them to factory settings an sells them for under a hundred bucks.

I'm not sure if this has been asked/answered but if one was to drive normal, i.e., driving for fuel economy, will this tune increase, decrease or keep it about the same? I would do a 93 octane tune fwiw.

I'm not really concerned with fuel economy but it is nice that I can get pretty good fuel economy when I want to.

My experience is it will increase. I gained at least 2 mpg highway using cruise control and the 93 performance tune.
