Well it's looking like the No's are gaining the lead, 54.9% to 46.2% out of 90+ people, not a great tally so far, it is good that the yes crowd is trailing though.

I was wondering, my is back again, fairly long list, trans, Sync, brakes, belt trim, door handle, console lid, the common ones, it's 22k now, and this is the 3rd time back.

I absolutely love the truck, I would even buy it again knowing I could have some problems, it's perfect for me, hauls ass, gets good MPG, drives like a small car, fits in compact parking spots, really important here overcrowded So Cal, it's just a great truck in my opinion, except the laundry list of warranty repairs, unfortunately I have a opposite example in the driveway, the wife and kids have all driven Honda's for years and they rarely go back for warranty work.

With all the Ford quality issues in the media these days, Farley barking at the workers to do a better job, also blaming it on parts supply issues and supplier quality, and all the recalls as well, it's a little frustrating when your vehicle mfg is in the news so much.

So I just got to wondering how this group does, is it one out of ten, one out of a hundred that has had to go back?

I started out just to ask a question, but then I thought "why not try the poll thing" never did one before, so here it goes!
22K and only three times? Lucky you. Mine was in 3 times by 7k. Carrier bearing, output shaft bearing, drive shafts, leaking front struts.
12 k now and I replaced the rear shocks on my own dime (they were shot). I live with the brakes and pedal travel, the feeling that a tire is out of balance slightly but constantly (it’s the drive shaft wobble in the carrier bearing), and I just fixed the trans fluid being 3/4 quart low. i Had asked twice that the trans level be checked. Fuel mileage is 15 percent less than stated on the sticker on 87 octane, but I can get within 5% or better when running premium. 18 mpg combo on 87 (babying it). 21 mpg combo on 93. Unlike you, I wish I had never laid eyes on it and will likely trade to the Ridgeline this summer.

I had drive shaft replaced due to a bad bearing and a new fuel pump. All that within the first 10,000 miles. I am near 25000 now and no issues since.

Another "Yes"

Had an issue with mine from day 1....had a bad electrical connection in driver side door. Took 3 visits and survey shaming for them to finally diagnose. The tech said he had never heard of the issue or seen it on any other vehicle....so just my luck, lol.

It's been perfect every day since.

Bought in June 2022....up to about 17k miles now.

55% no to 46% yes, damn, I wonder what the numbers are at Ford motor company, across all models? You know they have the exact numbers.

Just in this small 100 responses the yes answers are higher than I expected, but it also goes that a unhappy person speaks up about a product more than the happy one.

I wouldn't have posted this if I was not on my third trip back, (trans and brakes all 3 times) the happy owner would probably never wonder about the question I asked.

I would hope that overall the yes votes are lower, but this has not been surprising that a lot of the trucks have the same problems, the 20 yrs I spent at Ford dealers, you got to know the common problems that each model tended to have.

Honestly, I don't think it is unusual for ANY vehicle to have at least one visit to the dealer after purchase for SOMETHING. That is why I suggested a change to the poll to indicate the SEVERITY of the issue that it went back for.

There does seem to be some commonality for sure.

I was out to poll the percentage of vehicles that needed repairs under warranty, not trying to sort out big problem or small problem, just anything at all the dealer had to repair.

Not recalls necessarily as those are preventive repairs in most cases, not always actual failures, or the annoying stuff that is normal, like dumb shift strategy.

I was trying to keep it simple, just a yes or no question.

Also I have to disagree, I have had F series, Explorers and Expedition's that never had to go back (a few others did though) but my family has gone through 5 Honda's, only one had to go back, and that was for rusted rotors from sitting on the lot for months after a test drive in the salt.

Only had 2 things for warranty. First was the silly leather parking brake boot that sucks. Second was the HVAC Distribution box that likes the warp. Other then that never had a problem.

I agree. I think any vehicle can have one or two visits for warranty work. I think the ratio would be much diffent if the pole was between 1 or 2 and 3 or more.
