OK, same truck, but new build thread. Since I bought the Wrangler a few months ago and sold the wife's ancient CR-V, I decided to give her my 2021 SEMA SCT Cloned Ranger! She was happy, but after driving it, she's decided that the lowered, performance state of the truck isn't her style and that's fine.

We talked about it today and she wants to make it into an FX2 (which it basically is anyway) and put a small lift on it, with new wheels, tires and a grille.

She's picked out her new wheels and decided on a 2.5" BDS lift up front and a 1" Eibach block in the rear.

I found her some nice All Terrain 33's/285's.

She wants the AMP Power Steps.

I'm going to order some grey/silver FX2 bedside decals, some hood stripes and possibly some body side stripes.

I'm going to install a Tremor Grille, without the orange inserts.

I'm going to buy some new Blacked out Lariat Fender Vents to replace the Air Design one I installed.

I've already removed the Pedal Commander and re-tuned it to 87, instead of 93, as she doesn't "need" the performance I liked!

She wants to keep the Air Design Fender Flares...? Maybe they won't look too bad on a lifted Ranger?

So, most of today, I removed the Air Design Hood Scoop, Door Rocker pieces and the Tailgate Applique. I also removed the EGR Cab Spoiler. It looks completely different already...

Cleaned all the 3M adhesive off the tailgate...

Tomorrow, I'm going to start buying stuff and I'll be selling all the stuff that I'm taking off the SEMA clone. I'll update this as soon as something changes :)

This sounds fun. FYI I have the black appearance Lariat grille available which is the same as the Tremor grille without nostrils. Very light wear, all tabs intact if you are interested. I had swapped mine for the Ford Performance grille before I ending up trading it in. It’s sitting in the box that the FP came shipped in.

I am interested. I had the same grille on mine before I added the one that's in it now. Can you PM me about it?

She had some Black Rhino wheels picked out, that she loved, but this morning, I showed her some RTR wheels and this is what she wants now, Evo 6 17x9, 0 offset, in Satin Charcoal:

Wrapped in either 265/65 or 285/70 All Terrain, unsure which one at the moment?

That's what we were originally going to do. She's 5'3", I need to put some kind of power step bars on it and a 2.5" lift. Trying to decide if I want to keep the flares that are on it currently or buy something a little different.

It's going to be the opposite of my Wrangler, as it's Grey with Black accents. The Ranger's Black and she wants Grey accents :)

if you want something inbetween the 265 and the 285 get a 275 its 32.2 vs the 32.7 for the 285 but still looks good

According to the internet, this is my stock wheel/tire specs on the left vs the new RTR wheel/tire specs on the right:

And this is the current Method wheel/tire specs on the left vs the new RTR wheel/tire specs on the right:

I know this program has no clue if the vehicle is lowered or lifted, but I think I'll be fine with the new RTR wheels and 285's with a 2.5" lift?

Ordered Milestar Patagonia A/T R 285/70/17 just now! I love my Patagonia 35" M/T's on the Jeep, so she's getting the less aggressive version of them :)

Hmmm, I thought I had enough room in our garage, before we hit the bottom of the door opener, but I'm unsure now...?

Floor to bottom of opener is 78" +/- Floor to opener arm on garage door is about 77".

Stock Ranger 2wd Crew Cab is 71.1" If I add a 2.5" lift and another 1" taller tire equals 74.6" it should fit fine, but what if it doesn't??? I know there's an opener that mounts to the side of the door frame and rolls up differently, but that's not cheap, LOL!

EDIT: While wife was at PT Tuesday and the Ranger was out of the garage, I was able to measure things better.

Floor to bottom of garage door opener is exactly 78"
Floor to bottom of garage door rod thingy is 76 1/8"

My Jeep was the test pilot and is exactly 75" tall at the highest point at the soft top and it fit in her garage just fine! I hope the Ranger will not be higher than the Jeep or we're going to have to change some things?

If my Jeep was stock, it says it would have been 72.5"? Mine has a 3.5" lift with 315/70/17 M/T tires. It says stock tires were 255/75/17?

New 285/70/17 tires arrived Wednesday :)

Yesterday, the new RTR wheels arrived. These are super nice in person and the color is amazing looking!
IMG_20230629_210843533.jpg

The new fender flares, rear shocks, and front 2.5" coil lift also arrived! I found the Go Rhino power steps locally for more than I wanted to pay for them, but she needs them ASAP... So, I picked them up yesterday. We wanted the AMP Research steps, but they're on a 32 week wait/backorder!

Wife got home from PT last night about 6:10 PM. I was cleaning out the garage, so I could work on the Ranger. Got started on the rear suspension, around 6:30 and had finished lifting the rear of the truck back to OEM specs and everything torqued to OEM spec right at 10:30 PM last night! Man, it really looks different now, LOL!

Crappy pic, but this is what the rear looks like now! I'll update it this afternoon.
IMG_20230629_214639804.jpg

Going to attempt to lift the front after work this afternoon, assuming I don't have to work a double... Hoping to have new tires mounted on new wheels Monday and get this thing finished by Tuesday? Debating if I want to install the new fender flares or not?

Anyway, I'll try to keep this post updated :)

I would have loved the Amp power steps and I'm eager to hear how she (and you) like them.

Good luck and it's an awesome looking truck! =)

I honestly do not need steps, as I'm 6'6", LOL! She didn't need anything when it was slammed, but she'll now need something to help her get into the truck, as she's 5'3"!

Well, I didn't get the AMP ones, since they're almost a year on backorder.... We got the same style of board, but by Go Rhino. Kit pieces look almost identical, but I'm sure the AMP one is a lot nicer. A member on here installed the AMP ones about 4 years ago. Here's the video, if you're interested:
AMP Research Power Steps

Thanks for the compliment, but unfortunately, it's not as awesome looking as it was when I drove it.... :(
