  1. Maryland 3 Fobs w/batteries + 4wd guard

I bought this stuff for my 2022 Lariat, which I have since traded in for a 6g. I have 3 fobs with batteries and a 4wd guard. $125 shipped OBO. 2 of the fobs come with uncut keys. I never used/programmed them. They were purchased from this site...
  2. Better gas mileage

I'm a bit of an MPG nerd. I drove 30k/year for many years on various vehicles. For the Ranger, the best tip I can give not already mentioned would be to use your cruise at every chance. I even accelerated and decelerated with it as often as possible. Keep it under 60 as often as possible. From...
  3. Trustable’s 10r80 Thread

If you're under warranty, the dealer isn't going to replace anything unless Ford agrees to pay. So if Ford says no, the dealer isn't going to do it for free.
  4. Trustable’s 10r80 Thread

In 2024, my 2022 had 34K. Same issues. Valve body replaced. CDF drum replaced. After the CDF drum, it drove like new again also. Then, 25K miles later (most of which were smooth as butter), issues popped back up and I was told I needed a new valve body and torque converter. Again. Ford agreed...
  5. Totaled My 2021 XLT Sport. Picking up a 2022 or 2023 and significant changes?

Man, I'll be that guy and tell you to at least drive a 6g. I traded in my 5g on a 6g out of frustration with the 10r80 transmission (repaired under TSB (valve body + CDF) with 30k, and then needed full replacement 25k miles later) and as much as I hated spending more money, I love the 6g and...
  6. New transmission in 2021 XLT is faulty after 1-2 weeks

I hate to say it, but your scenario is the exact reason I traded my 2022 in for a 2025 last month. I had the valve body and torque converter replaced...then the CDF drum...then it needed a valve body and torque converter again about 25,000 miles later, and the dealer agreed to replace the...
  7. New to me, 2022 Ford Ranger Lariat

Nice truck! I just got a black 6g and love it. The auto stop/start delete was left off because they ran out of chips or whatever component was necessary to install them....so they just deleted them from a bunch and took some $$ of the sticker. I had a 2022 Lariat and mine was removed for that...
  8. How many miles on your 2.3L EcoBoost

I think I probably just lucked into the variables to make them a decent fit. I had a topper, which added rear weight and certainly improved handling, and I'm a 90% highway driver with zero offroading aside from beach sand, which it handled like a champ when aired down.
  9. How many miles on your 2.3L EcoBoost

I've read that on here repeatedly, but I just traded mine in with 67K on the original Hankooks. And they still have a little life left. I could've probably gotten 75K out of them.
  10. Who has had their transmission replaced? Happy? More failures?

Been there done that on the rebuild. Mine needed replacement 25k miles later. Doesn't matter as much now....traded in my 22 for a 25!! XLT FX4 with tow package. Night and day difference with the new truck....its sooooo much nicer imo. I hated spending more money but I got a new truck (versus...
  11. 180,000 Mile Service 2019 Ranger

All good with trans since replacement?
  12. Is 30k miles worth $2k

Same here. Also, I'd consider how many miles you drive and how long you plan to keep it. If you want to keep it forever, go for the new motor. To me, it's $2K for two years of life (assuming 15k miles/year). $2K would be well spent if you got another entire year or two or three out of the...
  13. Who has had their transmission replaced? Happy? More failures?

Typical story - I've told it before in multiple threads, 2022 Lariat Screw (built in early 2022), original issues started around 25-30K miles. I had the valve body procedure done first....then the CDF was done seperately after the valve body. After those repairs, everything was ok for about...
  14. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

Speaking of, I just got back from the dealer. With what they'll give me on my trade in ($26,500 for a 2022 SCrew Lariat with 67K miles, carvana was $25,800), I can get a new XLT with the FX4 package for $15K out the door. If I add a VSC that runs to 150K miles ($3800) and the dealers service...
  15. Transmission needs replaced

I was told...literally earlier today...that mine showed codes for the valve body and torque converter. Long story short, if you have ANY doubt, go get it checked out. Maybe they "can't duplicate the issue" or maybe it'll throw codes. The dealer I've gone to has found an issue each time I've...
  16. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

Just got off of the phone with my local Ford dealer. The advisor said they are going to replace valve body and torque converter. I have already had the valve body done once before...about 30k miles ago. I told her that I already had the prior TSB procedures done...including the valve body. I...
  17. How do I handle this - Dealer left off parts and denies it !

Leaving a negative review with Ford Customer Service also accomplishes this. I always get a survey emailed to me after using Ford service. I dinged a dealer (fairly) on a survey, and Ford stepped in.
  18. Two years almost to the day, transmission going to sh*t yet again

I'm in the same boat. Had mine repaired under the TSB (valve body and CDF) about 30k miles ago - truck had 34k. I'm now about 65k (warranty good till 75K) and the same nonsense is back. I just haven't made the call yet....gonna wait another couple thousand miles until I need an oil change...
  19. Best "2.0" style suspension upgrade?

There's a good video on youtube somewhere that describes and compares the Billsteins, Fox's and Eibach shocks all in one video. I can't remember all the differences and details but just remembered thinking the Eibachs would be my choice. I think the Billsteins are maybe the softest (and maybe...
  20. Key fob replacement

I need some too. I bought some off of Amazon. I got 2 off of this site...however, I haven't had them cut/programmed...
