2019 Lariat So have nursed my AGM battery for 4 plus years, and now, with the coming of cold weather I’m getting the messages of coming doom. Picking up an Interstate replacement, and wondering if there are any pitfalls to avoid in making the changeover???

I changed mine for a Interstate last month. No problems.

I only had to reset the driver's window and the battery management system. The radio presets remained.

How does one reset the bms.

I'm thinking of saying hell with waiting a month for them to even look at my battery... even if its a warranty item.

I changed the battery last week with an Interstate AGM from Costco. Followed this video for the BMS reset. Flash the high beams 5 times, press the break 4 times, wait 3 seconds, do 2 somersaults, and a partridge in a pear tree. Or something like that.

The battery light then blinked a few times indicating it reset correctly.

Be aware that Costco has changed their battery warranty and no longer offers the 36 month free replacement. It is now prorated only.

Probably because of BMS systems that send our batteries to early graves.

Swap out complete without issue. Did the BMS reset, but didn’t have to do the somersaults!

pulled into gas station for fuel and punch window down button to hand attendant cc. (New Jersey) and smack hand. Battery change disabled auto window!

no problem, reset and back to normal again…
