Suspect there are several things at play when it comes to Ford's lack of advertising for the Ranger (and Maverick). I'm verbose so hang with me.
To recover the huge losses in the government's push for EVs and EV battery manufacturing, prices of existing ICE trucks had to increase. The big...
No excuse for Ford, but many of the recall issues are because of pressure on suppliers to reduce prices. When suppliers are under significant pressure to cut pricing a point is reached the relationship becomes adversarial. No one win in that case.
In '96 I purchased a new 'Mustang V-8. My...
Farley is not without sin, but remember he is driven by Bill Ford, a strong EV guy, as well as the Ford family, most of whom live on Ford stock dividends. And don't forget the government's mandatory EV requirement. That government involvement resulted in billions being spent on new plants...
OP. Drive Shaft balance. My 2005 Ranger had a drive shaft issue and these guys fixed it. They straightened and balanced both front and rear shafts.

Fuel Economy: 17MPG isn't bad considering your tires and the lift. A bug deflector...
The only problem with high torque tools for removing/installing wheel nuts is that ridiculous appearance cover Ford puts on those nuts is distorted to the point you can't get your socket on them. It's a felony stupid move by Ford.
I own 4 Ford vehicles, each with Nav. My newest is a '24 RR and It is my understanding it, along with all new Ford vehicles with Nav will have to pay for a subscription service after 3 years. The dealer did not know exactly the cost but his guess was around $100/year. Speculation of course...
Coincidently I just had a long talk with the owner of a larger transmission repair facility yesterday because I was concerned about maintaining my own 10R80 transmission in my '24 Ranger Raptor.
I specifically asked about repairs for the newer 10-speed transmissions after Ford changed the CDF...
I have no personal experience, however a former boss and good friend, owned an Expedition and had a replacement aftermarket non-Soundscreen windshield installed. He said it was noisier to the point he replaced the windshield with an OEM Soundscreen. He did a lot of long distance driving and to...
I lived in WY for over 20 years. No worries about rain/mud in August. Our average rainfall is only 8-10 inches per year!
You will no doubt spend some time in Yellowstone. Be sure and drive the Beartooth Highway when exiting the park.. Blowers blew out 15' of snow to open it last week ...
Fortunately Ford seems to have a lot of 10 speeds in the pipeline. My dealer's 30 year wrench told me that initially he repaired faulty 10-speeds but because of repair returns, now only does replacements. He can get one in 1-2 days. I did not ask whether replacements are new or Ford rebuilds.
Oil itself doesn't "break down,' it's the additive package. Because the base stock in full synthetic is much better than dino or blend oil and there are fewer additives, once a year is fine for full synthetic, 6 months for blend or dino.
The most important thing is during the few times your...
In addition to the excellent comments here, suggest you go to Tirerack.com and input your vehicle. Read the reviews and ranking. Tires are listed in the order of the highest rankings for their segment use, performance, snow, etc. There are a number of categories (wet, dry, snow, comfort...
@KNI. Does AS have a tariff? VAT? Most of Europe has a VAT at a typical 19-25%. Likely the reason for the high price stated in Euros. Australia's price is not typically noted in Euros.
Was back at my hometown Ford dealer a couple of weeks ago. He had a F-150 on the rack replacing the transmission. I asked about the drum and valve body. He indicated initially he cleaned the valve body but the tolerances are so close there were problems afterwards. Told me all he does now is...
A car alarm dealer once told me the main cause for a remote fault is moisture in your pocket. Over time your body moisture effects the remote's ability to function properly. I've never had the problem, it's always been the battery. If true, replacement might be the only fix.
As for distance...
Not to worry about Ford's stock price. It has fluctuated around $10-$12 for years. Ford has paid an excellent dividend for years. This is because the Ford family is the largest single stock holder and that dividend is their largest source of income.
Warranty. Let's hope someone can do...
A couple of things come to mind - but, I've never had newer Ford locking diffs apart so I'm ignorant of their actual workings. Knowledgeable folks weigh in.
1) Does the rear locker work when electrical power is applied and disconnects when power is off? If so and because the OP needs this to...
Many western states allow a Deer/Elk/Moose killed by a vehicle to be taken home for personal consumption, but check with your state's DNR because not all states subscribe to that rule. And just like a gun shot animal, it needs to be butchered immediately and meat cooled right away. And as...
Be very thankful it wasn't a Moose or Elk. Given their long legs, they may end up in the front seat and damage to your vehicle is the least of your worries. I've hit an Pronghorn ($2,500) and a deer ($1,000). Car (truck) hunting is just too expensive.
