I admit to being totally immersed in matters that do not revolve around my new Ranger (shame on me!..), so I went out a bought a bottle of Mother's Back to Black tire cleaner/restorer. Two back-to-back applications revived the sidewalls back to their factory color.

Thanks for the advise and technical information regarding the chemical compounds used in the manufacturing of 21st century tires. I've been running on Continental Tires for decades and always found them to be well made and long-lasting.

I have the application of the tire treatment time-stamped for review later down the line.

I used to have some browning on my General Grabbers. Now, I make sure to scrub the sidewalls every time I wash the truck and I apply tire dressing. It takes a couple of washes and applications to get rid of that build-up but once it’s gone, it’s easy to keep it under control. @Msfitoy told me about a great tire dressing that leaves a matte finish - it’s not shiny - basically, it makes your tires look brand new. If you prefer the shiny look, those dressings work too.

You can find it on Amazon, at automotive stores, online detailing suppliers, etc.
So I ordered this tire cleaner/protectorate after this post. It arrived earlier and I had a chance to try it out. Wow. If the matte finish lasts and it keeps the browning of the OEM Hankooks at bay, that will be perfect.

Here are pics after one quick application.

I can confirm the 265/70-17 Cooper AT3s fit an FX4 with zero issues:

Huge improvement. Very impressed with the truck's capabilities on those tires.
Thanks , for posting that they will fit. I’m going to replace the factory 17 inch ones with the Coopers. I had the At 3 on another vehicle I loved them!

This tells me that the 255/75/17 should fit with no issues.........
Just put new General Grabber 255 / 75 on 2020 Xlt Fx4, no rubbing anywhere, lots of room left, and the power steering works a lot easier.
The tires are 1 in. narrower.

I think that is a perfect size.

I just went through the entire 22 pages of suspension/lift kit thread and to the best of my understanding, the only thing getting in the way of stuffing a 285/70-17 into the front wheel well (and turning) are two things: 1-wheel offset/backspacing and 2-the crash beams. I'm guessing that even without a leveling or lift kit installed, I should be able to run my +20 offset, 5+ backspacing without a problem AFTER I remove the crash beams. Would it be logical to assume that this would be true regardless of ride height as the tire travel envelope would be the same whether the truck is at stock height or lifted? I'm not referring to complete suspension lift (body lift) of course.

If Ford's tracker is right, I'll know in roughly 18 days:fingerscrossed::like:
Wow...this newb's got potential to get into a whole lot of trouble lol...

I have had this size on my ranger for almost 2 years now. This combo has worked perfect for my uses.

He may be ballsy but his math checks out. +25 is basically an inch spacer and no crash bars would clear out a lot of space. My biggest concern would be if the outer sidewall will clear the fender flare at full stuff.

Those look really good also, I'm really fond of tires that fill the wheel well a lot.
I put the 2.5" leveling kit on my truck, I've just been trying to find a good fitting tire setup that I at least don't have to, uh bent the core support lol

What did you end up doing? I also have the leveling kit on my truck.
