Is there a way to run the trailer power without the ignition turned on? I ordered some 12V LED lights to stick inside my enclosed trailer for loading and unloading in the dark. Do I need to have the lights on and the ignition on if I branch off an existing interior lamp?
I think you all are right, it's the speed. I have another trip coming up at the end of the month. I will pin the cruise control at 65 and see how that goes.
My last trip was from Chicago to Birmingham Atlanta, 10hrs of road time. Dropping to 65mph would have extended that a bit.
It could be my speed I'm going to speed limit or a little over which down from where I was it's 70 mile an hour Highway and I'm going 70 to 75 most of the time. Since the drag is a function of the speed squared if I'm adding 5 to 10 miles an hour then the drag on the truck is increased a factor...
I have a 2021 XLT with tow package. I use it for towing my sportbike to/from the track. I have a V nose 6x10 enclosed trailer. With the bike and gear maybe it's 700lbs of gear. The bike is about 400lbs, easy up, tools, chairs. It's not much. I never checked before however last week I went to...
Yes. And as soon as the temp go up a little I'm going to try some other cleaners. I also tried a hand steamer. That's when most of the white residue appeared.
Gents,
I had a spill on my passenger seat and even though I've used some off the shelf apholstery cleaner it still comes out with these white shadows.
The first time I was under the interior warranty and the dealer said their vendor ended up using a dye to get the color back.
Does anybody...
I've been combing this thread and either I have missed it or it's not here.
I have the leveling kit and want to move from the stock 18 inch rims to 17s. I like look of the extra rubber. I've been fiddling with the tire size calculator to find matching combos going from the 18 inch to the 17...
Looking to dress up my wheels and tires. I have stock 18" wheels and there is a set on TireRack I like but are 17 inch and have a +40mm offset. How do I find the offset of the wheels I have? Is it something I can look up or do I need to remove one of them and check a part number or stamp on...
So, I didn't have to cut off the heavy section of the hitch. There is enough clearance after the Fortis bracket is mounted on that the extra section of the hitch protruding does not interfere with anthing.
I did hack off a lot of the tin.
A little grinding and a couple coats of primer to...
I found @Dr. Zaius Black Horse Bumper install thread and took a second look at things. I think I can get away with moderate trimming.
I'll post an update
The back of my truck has suffered a couple unintended contacts with harder objects (I've backed into sh*t). After doing a bunch of research I decided I liked the simple looks of the Steelcraft Fortis . Frankly, I wanted to go with the stock carparts knockoff but since I'm towing my motorcycles I...
