Save your money on the cover unless you just like the looks or want it slightly more quiet , the water needs stopped before it gets to the cover , cowl area should be your focus...

Can specify what you did to stop the water intrusion?I would think if the engine is misfiring, the cause of the misfire should be covered under powertrain warranty unless an animal chewed a wire or something of that nature. The cause comes from a rain/car wash water leak that ford knows about. Shorty after buying my Ranger I discovered this issue and used silicone and flex tape to stop the water from leaking onto the top of the engine. I haven’t had this issue at all since but a quick test pouring water down the front windshield will show you quickly if you have the leak . I hate dealing with my local dealer . Last time I dealt with them they gave me a very hard time . I had to escalate my situation to the owner of the dealership before they took me seriously. Probably less headache to just fix yourself .
All the 19s did not have the engine cover!the sad thing is it seems like such a trivial thing for ford to fix. if all the 5g trucks had the cover like the 2019s did it would not be an issue.
you are the first person ive heard of that didnt have a cover on the 2019.All the 19s did not have the engine cover!
I thought/heard only the lariots had one!you are the first person ive heard of that didnt have a cover on the 2019.
power train warranty only covers the hard parts no electronics... or wiringI would think if the engine is misfiring, the cause of the misfire should be covered under powertrain warranty unless an animal chewed a wire or something of that nature. Even in 2019, only the Lariats had the cover, not the XL or XLTs. It was removed on even the Lariats in a subsequent model year (not sure when).I thought/heard only the lariots had one!
Truck was built in something like Dec 2018 or Jan 2019, XLT FX4 with appearance package, no engine cover. My father got his truck 6 months later, lariat, has an engine cover.Even in 2019, only the Lariats had the cover, not the XL or XLTs. That lines up exactly with what I understood. FYI, you can find out exactly when it was built by looking at the blend date on the sticker in the door jamb:Truck was built in something like Dec 2018 or Jan 2019, XLT FX4 with appearance package, no engine cover. What Rob says. My 19 STX does not have one nor does it have the water issue. ? I don't believe they (FORD) will do anything unless it effects a large # of vehicles.Even in 2019, only the Lariats had the cover, not the XL or XLTs. Mine is "3201901176547". It was made jan 17, and I took delivery Feb 4th (PureMichigan)That lines up exactly with what I understood. FYI, you can find out exactly when it was built by looking at the blend date on the sticker in the door jamb:
