  1. Dreaded Water in the Spark Plug Wells, Advice Sought

That makes sense. I never park downhill. I’ll have to do the fix with a pool noodle just in case. Or maybe some silicone, idk.
  2. Dreaded Water in the Spark Plug Wells, Advice Sought

It's raining today, after I drove the truck to take my kids to school I popped the hood and it was 100% dry, nothing in the cracked dash area, nothing on the engine except dust.
  3. Dreaded Water in the Spark Plug Wells, Advice Sought

Mine is "3201901176547". It was made jan 17, and I took delivery Feb 4th (PureMichigan) I've also got no evidence of water, I've not pulled the boot to check, but the valve cover is dusty, and doesn't have any water stains on it. I just cleaned out some leaves and stuff, and I'm going to stick...
  4. Dreaded Water in the Spark Plug Wells, Advice Sought

Truck was built in something like Dec 2018 or Jan 2019, XLT FX4 with appearance package, no engine cover. My father got his truck 6 months later, lariat, has an engine cover.
  5. Rear Rotors Warping Due to Parking Brake Applied on Hot Rotors/Pads?

Well in my case, they replaced axles, rotors, pads and it never stopped happening. I changed to aftermarket rotors (because they were available) and I hope it's fixed whatever the issue was. I've even towed my "really huge" camper once with the truck and it was fine. They tried to blame the...
  6. Rear Rotors Warping Due to Parking Brake Applied on Hot Rotors/Pads?

OG owner here, I've had my 2019 since Feb 4th, 2019. My offroad use is very limited, I don't hardly ever use the trail control, and when I am in 4x4 it's in "Ice and snow" mode (FX4). I have 64K miles, and have had my rear brakes replaced about 10 times under warranty. After the last time, I...
  7. 30,000 Mile Maintenance

No, I had to go aftermarket with the rotors and pads as all of ford was out of stock and no eta. I used brake best as I needed brakes bad, and couldn’t wait for ford.
  8. 30,000 Mile Maintenance

I think my rear axle is actually defective and that’s what is eating brakes. I just changed all 4 at 62k and they seemed ok other than the ruined rear rotors.
  9. EGR Cooler

I had a diesel in my last vehicle (vm motori 2.8l) that I removed the egr system from entirely for that reason (the tar).
  10. ITT: We diagnose WTF is going on with my truck

Started it this am and no coolant smoke, coolant level has not changed, opened bottle and started it. No bubbles that I can see. Going to try and pull a vacuum on it and see if that holds. Other than that, I guess I’ll just start throwing parts at it…
  11. EGR Cooler

My 2019 just started throwing clouds of white smoke and everything else is fine. I’m here in 2023 looking for an egr delete kit (lol)
  12. ITT: We diagnose WTF is going on with my truck

I got no codes, no change of performance, the only symptom seems to be sweet smelling exhaust.
  13. ITT: We diagnose WTF is going on with my truck

We have an EGR cooler on the ranger? I thought that was a diesel thing? EDIT: I see the part, I suppose that could account for how coolant got into the exhaust tract and didn't contaminate the oil then.
  14. ITT: We diagnose WTF is going on with my truck

Tonight in addition to some super fun brake issues I've been having for years, I was greeted in my rear view mirror by a gigantic cloud of white smoke. Naturally, I thought my brakes were on fire, so I pull over to check them, nope, they were normal. I then realized that I had some residual...
  15. Rear axle leaking

I haven’t been able to keep rear brakes on my truck since I got it. They were lasting less than 10k but the last pair I just ran until I hit metal and it was only 15k. I just did aftermarket ones because ford doesn’t have any rear components in stock, and couldn’t tell me when they would.
  16. FX4 Off Road Angles Display

I believe the same hardware that makes the pilot360 features work (which is standard in the us) make those screens work. I’m afraid they most likely don’t include the necessary hardware in RoW builds.
  17. FORScan Modifications

Power distribution is enabled in forscan, but I’ve never seen it work.
  18. FORScan Modifications

You should already have the main screen with angles on an fx4 from the factory.
  19. FORScan Modifications

OG here, you should absolutely have the truck info screen, the individual wheel output screen has never worked for me, or anyone else I’ve seen it add, it’s more for the on-demand systems in something like an edge or escape where you don’t have direct control over the 4wd and the vehicle is...
  20. Fuel in oil

My last oil change I pulled almost 8 quarts of oil (I put in 6.8 or so with the extended filter). I didn't really have a good way to measure, but the smell of fuel after 5K miles was very apparent on first starts. I'll be paying more attention this change as it's the first time I've ever noticed...
