Well that was sort of why I posted the question. Were there any differences between 21 and 22? I'm not aware of anything, except the hood struts , I think.

Here's a list of deleted items by some guy who used to push the ultimate missing item. Good reading for insomnia or a laugh if you have a 2019.

While I hate to say this being the Ranger lover that I am....... but in this situation have you considered just going to an F150? Might have to order it to get the price down lower that the trucks you'll find on the dealer lot. But if you avoid the itch (difficult!) to check the various option boxes you can keep the price on the lower end of the truck scale. And you'd actually get the F150. Unlike trying to order a Ranger in the current environment. Bottom line, you'd be in a new truck versus paying premium prices for a used truck that may well contain someone else's hidden headache.

I routinely build trucks on Ford's site just looking at various pricing scenarios. I'm weird, I know. And if something happened to my Ranger in this current "can't get a Ranger" environment I'd just move on to a bigger ride.

Just my 2 cents.

I randomly build different trucks online too from time to time. Not weird...prepared ?

That said, the only reason I didn't buy an F-150 is that it won't fit in our tiny AZ garages most of the time, and the Ranger jusssst will.

The MY22 - dependent upon dealer or customer order - Latiats may or may not have LED headlamps/ fogs if build was after May 2022 and later.

it may or may not have hood struts or attach points for the struts with the struts missing.

By using the latest TSB for the transmission as a reference, you can note the decision point for a valve body or CDF Drum - replacement is (Built after 9/15/22) it stops at the Valve Body
How I read that statement is the transmission was modified with the newer style drum on 9/16/22.
Well my trucks build date was 9/16/22, so I am assuming I have the newer drum-IDK for certainty, but thus far at 9,500 miles I have had zero transmission issues and shifts have always been smooth.

so my truck lost the hood struts and all attaching hardware, the LED Headlights/ Fogs - both of these things were self fixed and is now the way it should have been delivered as ordered including the engine cover. (As I have the Lariat)

I forgot to include, some but not all builds have the ASS - mine was deleted, I am loving that.

What a novel concept!!! Parking in the garage!
Every (well almost) open garage I see is too full for much anything other than a bicycle, some not even that.

Exactly that. My wife and I often marvel at the stuff some folks cram in the garage and leave expensive vehicles outside in the elements.

I would make that trade off in an instant.

When I had my condo my one car garage held my Harley an tools (jacks, lift tables, compressor) so I had to park outside.

I bought house with a 30x40 barn/garage an right now I can only fit my bronco in it. I have the Harley an all the tools, plus more tools an work benches, a 4x6 table an six chairs for watching the game in there with my friends, a few projects I'm working on (mostly vintage garden tractors) an now storing 2 golf carts for friends. Heated storage is sought after here in the winter. I'm going to down size the tractor fleet next summer since I just finished the one I plan on working. If I got rid of the TV area I could fit 2 cars.

How come your friends aren't allowed in the house to watch TV? (I say that in jest, of course, but have noticed many garages out here with tv's and such in them). Why is that?

Agreed! And very happy to say that both of our vehicle are in the garage every day. With some room to spare. Though the builder did do us a favor as he builds true "2 car" garages. Got my ST and Ranger, set of shelves, beer fridge (Warden often clutters my beer fridge with food ), and my rolling tool box in my garage. With a bit of room to spare.

I don't know how people live with their garages full of crap and their cars outside. I couldn't do it. And even if I could do it, the warden would quickly ensure that I adjusted my attitude about having a functioning garage.

Because... we're guys. Why would any woman allow a man in her house if he had optional/suitable accommodations in the garage? Keeps him handy enough to keep an eye on him but far enough away to be out of her hair. :like: But keeps him out of the weather as she needs to keep him healthy so he's ready for any projects that she may assign. Actually more I think about it, kinda like boarding horses I guess.
