ahā¦. Ummmā¦.. wellā¦ā¦. I umā¦.. you seeā¦.. umā¦.. ok, here goes. (Deep breath.) I went out yesterday and bought enough for three more oil changes. Even though I just changed the oil in the Ranger last Saturday. And on the way home was wondering if I should have bought more.
Iāll see...
Just changed the oil in the blue beauty this past Saturday. OāReillyās had plenty of oil. All brands.
On the other hand, with the stupid, non-sensical, uncalled for war with Iran and the resulting oil industry shockwaves anything is possible. With oil it is a world market. Like it or not. Has...
I have discovered that my concern for scratches and dirt has decreased in direct proportion to how many laps my @$$ has made around the sun.
At this point? Oh is that a scratch underneath that dirt? Hmmm. So anyway, what do you want to do for lunch?
One exception. Door dings!!! Those involve...
Cool option I guess. But I really struggle with the huge overhang behind the axle. Visually it just makes me uncomfortable thinking of the frame stress if fully loaded. Probably perfectly fine. But to mentally work for me Iād need to stretch the frame so I could center the axle under the bed.
Well, I am now officially chicken to tackle this project. I see problems written all over it.
Did I tell you about the pump and the clear bucket with measurements on it that I bought? Got that, read the transmission fluid pump & replace write up numerous times. And still havenāt attempted it. š
My truck needs the slip joint lubed badly. And Iāve been delaying simply because if it can go wrong it will when I do something on a vehicle that Iāve never done before. After reading this, procrastination will continue.
Makes me more angry that when they fire one of these idiots they have to pay them millions to go away. Whereas a working stiff gets fired and itās āDonāt let the door hit youā¦ā
After 3+ years forum membership I have reached the following conclusion.
If @airline tech cannot sort out a mechanical/electrical issue posted here, then the OP of said posting may as well set the truck on fire and simply move on.
Forum is lucky to him him as a member.
š For airline tech!
For various home/yard projects you simply cannot beat a truck. While I do have to get a bit creative with lumber at times, otherwise that 5 foot bed does anything I need to do. Mulch, landscape stones, topsoil, all hauled multiple times. The Ranger hauls all of it with zero complaints. Actually...
Automatics are nice in traffic. But if the Ranger had a manual option thatās the box Iād have checked.
And for the record, at 65 I aināt no youngāun anymore either. Knees ache every damn day. (Youth sure was fun though! ) But I still love driving a stick. Whenever I drive the wifeās...
bulletproof? Makes me visualize about a 1972 Ford truck, inline 6, 3 on the tree. Just runs forever. Oh, and steel bumpers. Love steel bumpers. In a tight spot? āThink I might have another 2 inches. Nope, thatās it.ā š
It removed about 90% of it. Much better than I expected. Most people would never even notice it now.
Good enough so the Warden was pleased so what more do I need?! :like:
