Because Consumer Reports picked the RAM as the best truck ?
Yep they let its admittedly amazing interior and ride quality seduce them, despite the Rams poor 2 out of 5 reliability rating.

Whenever I buy a new car or truck it always seems like I never see them until I buy one. Lol.
Yeah we go up to Flagstaff every summer and you're right those 3 dominate that area.

That's why I really wanted a Bronco. It would be a little different (for a few years) from all the Tacos and Jeeps in my area. Now that I have a Jeep coming I notice them more and more...They're everywhere here. lol

I came from the 5th gen RAM new body style, loved that truck but it was just too dang big. Now fully enjoying the ranger.

Yuck.

I had a 2002 Dakota. Biggest turd I ever owned.
I have owned three Dakotas over the years. Combined I put approximately 550,000 miles on them. They were as trouble free as you could hope for from any vehicle. If Ram was still offering a Dakota I would mostly likely be driving one and not a Ranger.

i had 3 tacoma. 2nd gen and two 3rd gens. 2nd gen was trouble free, it just worked. 3rd gen was nice, but had too many little things that over time just got old. (3.5, the auto, seating position…) ranger fixed those areas. its not perfect, but it checked those boxes that were important to me.

In Northern Idaho its mostly Ram (boat towing), Ford, then Chevy. Although the amount of Taco's outweighs Chevy by a ton. I didn't see one Ranger until I got down into Utah. I wouldn't be shocked if I'm the only Ranger in the CDA area.

Nothing beats the sound of a well tuned V8, LS or Coyote, just music to my ears.
But the hemi sounds the best simply because it has more displacement of the current v8s. If you ever have the chance to hear a 500+ cubic inch V8 the sound will stir your soul.

I see a lot of Ram owners trading in for Ford and Toyota trucks. There are also those Ram owners that love their trucks. I do think they are good looking trucks but I know how bad dodge depreciation is when I traded in my SRT 392 Scat Pack Charger.

then there are the owners that have “HEMI” on the side of the truck and think nothing is better or faster. Then a Certain Ranger with a tow tune on 33’s gaps em. Lol ?
Lol I smashed a Ram sport this morning.

My 392 Scat Pack Charger sounded really good but nothing compared to my FBO E85 2017 Mustang GT at 7800rpm ?

Trouble free does not equal good IMHO. As I said earlier mine was trouble free as well. But it was also about as enjoyable to drive as my milk truck.

FWIW, I went to Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach a few years ago. I never heard so many foul sounding late model 5.0 Mustangs in my life. I was embarrassed to say I owned a Mustang.

I owned a 2017 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 prior to my Ranger. Was a very nice truck and would probably still have it had it not flooded.

Moved into our new home in August 2019, left the truck parked in the street one night and woke up with three feet of water in the street. Truck was a total loss by insurance. Picture is after the water receded by a foot.

I used to go to mustang week every single year up until about 2015. It was getting too wild and started attracting a lot of trouble makers. Yes, some of the shit boxes people would bring down there was embarrassing. Lol.

this is mine

That shows just how relative opinions like this can really be. I have had 3 Dakotas over the years, an 87, 89, and an 04. They were all surprisingly great and reliable and I have always considered them a high point of the otherwise crappy Chrysler line. That 87 had 339,000 miles on the same 3.9 and transmission. Someone is probably still driving it if its not been wrecked. Its all about each individuals experience.
I had a 2003 Dakota and a 2001 Durango. I liked them both and I thought they were pretty reliable too.
