Work has been hectic since my arrival back in Phoenix for the winter along with some long awaited home projects that needed to get done. Hoping to have a window here in the next few weeks to get a design done and printed to cover the holes in the firewall. Should be fun to get in there with...
look from the outside in with blend door closed. If I remember correctly the gap along the top edge is sizable enough where even a mouse would not have to squeeze through. All the blend door does is redirect where the majority of flow comes from, the gaps around the firewall and blend door are...
I haven't been up in there in awhile but I don't think the blend door when closed is a tight seal, in fact there is a good sized gap. The blend door just moves into a position where the "majority" of air is either pulled from the exterior or interior.
Not sure the relevance...got me confused. But I did have my oil changed two weeks ago at the dealer here in Phoenix and their checklist came back fine.
City driving for me is horrible, but everyone's mileage will differ based on their routine. My routine in Phoenix is a simple drive to Starbucks in the morning down the road or to the store. For the most part I exist within a five mile bubble. For the first 4k miles in Phoenix I averaged...
Glad the rumors weren't true.
Rumor was Dave was kidnapped by the anti-damper crowd who finally went end of days postal and forced him to do arm curls until muscle mass was built back up so he could be released back into society.
There was a section between Missoula and Dillon on the way to Idaho Falls that I swore I heard trumpets. It was right around dusk and the amount of grasshoppers was biblical.
On my way back up next year I plan on staying in the area for a few days and camp up in the Anaconda Pintler...
To a great extent I agree. But I also think they see the larger trend of a great deal of folks on the road who simply lack any form of responsibility. Personally I'd rather see them take the existing penalties and put a 10x multiplier on them, and in the case of tailgating, my pet peeve, a...
I think the bugs in Idaho and Montana are built different. They seem to turn to cement once they hit the windshield. I kept an extra rag and jug of water in the bed of the truck just to scrub them off every once in awhile, otherwise relying on the wipers alone, just creates a smeary mess...
On the one hand I really don't care for the government overreach and nanny state. Just like seat belts. Yes they save lives but mandating was just a way to generate ticket revenue. But I would actually favor this if it were implemented correctly. Far too many people on the road with very...
After 10k miles this season I can comfortably say that marketing is playing a crude joke on engineering. The 2 is for the percentage of bugs actually deflected, not a revision number.
With high amps like that you'll want a good chunk of metal so your ground doesn't heat up. There is an existing ground point behind the drivers side kick panel where Ford has you ground the OEM tow brake package. It's a pretty hefty chunk of metal there. Ideally you'll want your ground line...
First thing I did was remove the back seat. I understand not everyone can do that, but that surely helps.
The pup is a big boy now at a fit 110 pounds. All the running up and down the hills this year really packed on the muscle.
The day will come I won't want him jumping in and out of the...
I was preparing the garden yesterday for winter and was pulling this stuff out. Made me think of this thread. Boy the chipmunks were pissed. Chittering at me the whole time. I had to refill the feeders with fresh sunflower and pumpkin seeds as a peace offering lest they dismember me in my...
Could be either millet or milo (sorghum bicolor) both are common bird seed fillers that most birds kick to the ground. They grow like weeds in my garden up Idaho. All the birds and chipmunks kick them out of the feeders because they prefer the pumpkin seeds and sunflowers. Smaller birds will...
