How wide are the wheels themselves at 0 offset? And what flares? I forgot those probably help a little. They aren't the largest flare.

Thanks for such a quick reply.
9" wide

Lund SSX - basically a bushwacker OEM size fender flare.

E-10 ply - X's 4 Tires = 30 more pounds. Thanks for the info. Didn't realize it would be that big of a difference.
yeah to put in perspective, the stock Tremor LT265 grabbers are 51.8Lbs. Most tire manufacturer websites have spec sheets for all tires, weights, load ranges etc however you typically have to dig through the site to find them.

If you want to go SL, there are a few 285/70r17 in the mid 40lb range. I think both the wildpeak and open country at3.

I’m running those aT3s in 285s SLs-46lbs. It’s really a pretty great tire for the weight and money.

Having problems with the tires that came on my 21 ranger tremor. They hold little rocks real bad then toss them all over the place once I get out on the highway. Really don't want to go with a flat out road tire but I'm seriously considering it as I live on a gravel road I don't want my truck all rocked chipped.
Any good recommendations?

I've had the same problem with my grabbers since I Installed them a year ago. Tons of stone chips all over my rockers. If I would have known they were that bad, I wouldn't have purchased them. A tire with a less deep tread will obviously help, but who wants to replace new tires?

Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my truck havent picked up many rocks like you're describing. They have a feature nitto calls stone ejectors, little ribs between the bigger ones that help to dislodge and lower the chance of stones sticking inside the tread.

Anybody getting any driveshaft vibration from your lift and larger tires? I installed the Ford Fox 2.0 lift and Firestone 255/75R17 Destination XT's and ended up with a nasty vibration. I've been working in shimming the drive shaft center bearing and it's improving. Currently at 5/16 in shim height and going to add another 1/16 tonight and see if that makes it any better. It's almost tolerable now.

This happens with just about any AT tire if you're on gravel. You may just end up picking up smaller rocks with different tread. A wider side step might help or some mudflaps.

I added mudflaps as soon as I got my FX4 this time since the stock Hankooks ate up the paint on my 19 FX4 pretty bad.

Rock sliders are on order to block anything the flaps miss.

Here's my how it's going/how it started:
17x8.5 Ultra Machine +25 offset with 285/70/r17 Falken Wildpeaks
VS
Stock sport wheels + tires w/ 1 inch spacers
Have front BDS crash bars in place but still have a rub somewhere (probably rear crash bars)

I went with the 295 70 18, leveling kit up front and crash bars removed. 4.5" backspace on the wheels.

Who made the front bumper? I just acquired a 295 70R/17 and looking to install it. I have a Fox 2.0 in the front and kept the FX4 shock in the rear.

So can you fit 285/70/17 on the stock sport wheels with no lift just by removing the crash bars? Haven't gotten the suspension stuff yet but j have the tires anyone got an answer ? Once again I took my crash bars out but don't know about the spindle clearance
