Not during the test drive, but i did the next day at home. They where all right close to 35 lbs.
There seemed to be about a $4000 difference between the loaded Lariat and the tremor. But price was a bit better on the larait due to better rebates.
The wife and I both thought the FX4 larait had a more plush ride over the tremor. But that was just about a 4 to 5 mile loop in town and over a couple speed bumps. Got the tremor due to it having all the options.
If I could do it over I'd have waited and found a fully loaded FX4 larait.
Tremor...
I just investigated these destination XT tires. Again curious to know your opinion on them, but from the looks of it, not a tire I have an interest in, just by looking at it and the specs. It seems to have a similar tread pattern to what I have now that is going to collect rocks and give me the...
If I could fit that size without a lift or leveling kit I probably wouldn't mess with that.
Out of all the other tires that are out there why do you recommend the Firestone Destination XT?
Lol, not necessarily different shocks, although I am kind of thinking I want more of a lift then what the Tremor comes with. And I also know that the Tremor comes with a little bigger tire then a regular Lariat, which is what I was looking for originally. The tremor comes with a 32in but it's...
Got a 21 tremor myself, no rubbing on the crash bars, about a 1/2 inch to spare. Which is stupid, on a truck like this it should already be set up to run a bigger tire, without any modifications.
Mine also came with the General Grabber 265/70r17.
I hate them, I've never liked the BFGs like...
I can't honestly say for sure there is any performance difference, but I think so. The tires are little quieter then the factory Tremor tires, and I'm definitely getting roughly three miles per gallon better.
The fact is anytime you drop weight or go to smaller Tire there's going to be a...
What I find interesting is that if you go to an 18-inch wheel you can get a 265 70 that is the same width as that size on a 17in wheel but almost an inch taller then on the 17 inch wheel. And the weight difference between that same size versus a 17 or 18 inch wheel is only one pound, at least in...
I have heard a few report about the ATM Dynapro not being the best for winter but I've also heard that that siping makes a big difference and it sounds like the new at2 Dynapro has improved for winter conditions. But for me at least and this point in my life I don't spend much of any time In...
That's actually the tire I'm pretty set on getting although I think it's now called at2 or ATM2. After looking at a lot of different tires, their height width and weight I think the hankook's are probably my best bet in a 265 70 17.
If there was an option to go to a 265 75 17 I would do that...
Yes they do. Definitely not a good off road tire if your in lots of gravel.
There are some fairly aggressive all-terrain tires out there that are supposed to be designed in a way that they don't collect rocks as bad and or they eject them really easy rather than wait till you get to high...
At some point I will Dismount the tires to get an exact weight on the wheels, something I'd be curious to know. I didn't realize that the Tremor Wheels were any wider, that's good to know thanks for that. But the offset has got to be different because they stick out more than a half an inch then...
