Except that the transmission re-learn can take several hundred (maybe up to 500) miles to adjust properly after you switch to a new tune. You'll run through a tank of 93 before that happens. Livernois suggested swapping tunes about a week before you anticipate needing to use it (like in the case of a towing tune). And only swap between 89/93 tunes when you've emptied the gas tank and refilled to prevent running on too low of octane. And now I broke down and bought the tuner haha. Real talk though. If you look at this in a gear head mindset... I can get a 87 tune that will not compromise cheap gas and the integrity of the engine... if you wanna play for a tank of gas, get 93 and swap the tunes. I think this is a win win.
