I submitted my stuff last night. Was hoping they would squeeze me in before they closed. Oh well have to be patient. They did say 24-48 hours so I’m not upset. Just hoped really hard!
Thank you very much for your order!

We have been slammed with non stop phone calls and emails which has made it a bit more challenging to keep up with the volume of tune requests coming in unfortunately. Hard as we try to keep the 24-48 hour turn around , it can take a bit longer with the weekends since Sat is a short day and we're closed Sundays also. I was doing a couple hours of tune emails from home every night after work and staying late just to try and keep customers tunes going out on time. Feel free to PM us your info and I'll make sure we received everything and see what we can do to get that completed for you asap.

Hello hope everyone is well. Dumb question. Would it be wise to run a dyno test immediately after installing a tune? or should I drive it around? I recently purchased the tune and cant wait for it to arrive. My plan was to run 1 pull current set (no tune) then run another after installing the tune. Not that I'm doubting results i just want to know where I'm at lol. Appreciate the input! Have a good day.
We usually make a couple stock pulls, let them cool down , and then make a couple pulls after installing the tune. Trying to make before pulls cold and the after pulls when the engine is already hot will not give accurate results.

I finally broke down and made the purchase. Might as well enjoy the most out of this truck.
Thanks for your order, glad to hear you've pulled the trigger on this. Definitely won't regret it as others have mentioned!

I also saw a comment about the different ignition modes and the terms RUN / ACC that I wanted to touch on really quick. The instructions are for all vehicles we support with the Mycal touch and the ignition sequences can vary from model to model, year to year, etc so we do mention to consult your owners manual if not certain. On the Taurus SHO for example 2010-12 the ignition has to be held in for a few seconds or more to get fully on where it will let you flash it. Then 2013+ SHOs have 3 modes, one tap is Acc mode like a turn key would go to in the first click to roll windows up or listen to the radio but doesn't let you flash the processor. Second tap is RUN mode with the engine off which is where it needs to be for programming, and 3rd tap is back to OFF. Most of the newer models Ford has gone to a simpler one tap is fully on to RUN / ACC and 2nd tap is back off which is much easier in my opinion. No worries if you have it OFF when it needs to be in RUN / ACC it will just tell you to make sure the ignition was on and let's you retry.

I’m glad it will let you know if the system can’t flash. I need a gofundme for car parts so my wife won’t get mad (J/K, she’ll still be mad). Anyone know the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times with a tune?

I am seeing and have experienced the responsiveness of Livernois tuning. Here is a back story on my experience.

We purchased our first Ranger in June of 2019. It wasn’t exactly what we were looking for (Lariat FX4) but filled the bill and we were very satisfied with the vehicle. Shortly after bringing it home I purchased the MyCal and installed the tunes. At that point I was even more impressed with the truck and it’s capabilities. We only had the 87/89 and 91/93 tunes available in 2019 but knew they were working on the tow tune. We towed our RV (3500 pound Tab 400) on several trips using the 91/93 tune and I was really impressed with how the truck handled the load.

Unfortunately we were involved in a near head on collision on March 2 of 2020 and that early 2019 Ranger was totaled. A really sad day for us, but it did it’s job and we came out with a few scratches and bruises.

Later in March of 2020 we found the exact Ranger that we wanted in the first place and brought home our 19 Lariat 4x2 with locking differential. It looks exactly like our FX4 did so I didnā€˜t bother changing out my photo.

Shortly after getting the new Ranger home I contacted Livernois to see if we could transfer the MyCal over to the new vehicle. There response was ā€œabsolutelyā€œ! We proceeded to get the MyCal set up and we now have the 87/89, 91/93, and the Tow Tune available. I need to add that there was no cost to transferring to the new Ranger. I waited until we had about 3,000 miles on the truck to make sure everything was going to be good and finally installed the Tow Tune yesterday just before taking our RV for a camping trip. What a difference when towing. Honestly the stock ranger felt like it was struggling a bit with the load until I installed this tune. Now it tows like it is no effort at all. Amazing tune and I look forward to installing the performance tune when we return from our trip.

The Ranger 4x2 tows much better than the FX4 did and that annoying bounce is pretty much not there at all.

So very thankful you and loved ones are okay. Great review too. I'm eagerly putting some reassuring miles on my truck so I too can install my tune (which is staring at me as I type).

Just today turned over 3500 miles.

Guess I'm gonna have to make my wife love me a bit less.

Oh, about $499 less.

Edit: $516 with shipping ?

I just clicked the button, so I might actually need legal support.

I might need a good personal injury attorney after my wife finishes pounding me.

Then after I recover she can get riled again when I get the ARB bumper.

Do attorneys give repeat customer discounts?

Just get one on retainer, I used to have one on retainer through work. Cost me $10 a month and it was worth it each time I simply mentioned it to any company giving me a hard time with stupid shit.

Got mine today. Nice! This could get me into trouble.

I did forget to tell them I wanted to keep auto start stop. I sent them an email. I hope they don’t mind too much.

I gotta stop reading this thread....I'm ready to ditch my AR pistol build an put that money into the tune, an I don't even push my ranger! I only jump on it occasionally when merging an getting around a slug holding up the left lane.

Its ok, I dont get on the gas much with my truck much and it has gained overall drivability performance!! Well worth ditching the AR build especially since you probably make enough that you can come back to it later.

Back in 2004, I traded my 01 Ranger for an 04 Sonic Blue Lightning. The first time I got on it, it scared the crap outa me with 380HP/450TQ. It's been a while since I've driven a vehicle with that much oomph, and tonight, my little Ranger scared the crap out of me. My Lightning launched a little quicker off the line (turbo lag), but once the turbo caught up---WOW !!!! It set me back in the seat and held me there until I let off. I only took it up to 70'ish (too dark and too many deer around), but it was a thrill to say the least. I got a little wheel spin in 1st, 2nd and just enough to feel it in 3rd and this is with the 91-93 tune running 91 octane with the "hard"/normal shift. I'll try out the "softer shifting" tune in the future. This is what Sport mode should feel like from the factory.

This is my first tuned vehicle, and I like it !!! And it only took about 5 min to load the tune.

Thank You to all the folks @Livernois Motorsports !!! Now, just have to wait for Bell Tech to release their lowering kit.....more waiting

That's terrible to see the photo of the Ranger but so happy to hear everyone was okay. Glad we were able to at least help out with getting the tuner swapped over to the new truck to help soften the blow a bit!

Thank you for your order! Best of luck with the wife though, I've been there so I totally feel your pain. Hopefully once she gets to take it for a spin with the tune installed she'll forgive you so you can get the new bumper on order lol

I was able to get the tunes sent out for you after hours last night , but didn't know about the start stop on request until I saw your reply this morning. We'll update the tunes acordingly and let you know once that next update is ready to go.

You are very welcome, happy to help take your Ranger to the next level! Glad to hear everything was easy to get installed and that you've been enjoying the results. They are definitely a whole new animal once tuned that is for sure.
