Gang, I installed some Timbren active bump stops this week and did my first tow today.... Worth every penny, truck doesn't sag near as much, wind induced sway is nearly eliminated and all in all, the truck pulls so much better! Highly recommend to any Ranger owners who tow!

Finally got to tow my camper after owning the truck for over 6 months and do some off-grid, out of cellphone range camping. Keeping it reasonable the first 500 miles, but very impressed with how easily it pulled the trailer and how nice it is to have truck for loading up.

Had to haul a big load last weekend :crackup: Really though I just needed the trailer to haul some lumber and the box was full of gear.

Ranger took Cajon Pass from San Bernardino to Victorville at 55 and no strain on engine with all the gears this trans has, next was 14 mile pull up hiway 178 from Ridgecrest elevation of 2200 ft to 6000 ft and the engine worked but again the trans kept downshifting and took at 50 mph in 4th gear and tached about 4500pulling the 28' Salem Cruise lite …..combined gross wt. was 11,750
I am totally thrilled with this truck!
Awesome! What Hitch do you have on the trailer?

Yep! '77 CVX-20
Used to sell them, owned a CV-16 with a 150 Johnson. Good 60 mph boat.
I loved the CV-23 in James Bond Moonraker ?

I have a Hensley and feel to tow this much weight with this truck this or the Pro ride is the only way to go.
when I first bought the trailer I had a 4 Way equalizer and felt too much sway. The Hensley eliminates it completely. I was in 50 mph head and cross winds on a two lane road, yes when a truck went past from the opposite direction I surly felt it but in no way was a panic. Hensley and pro ride are pricey but well worth it. Sometimes Hensley has factory recondition to new specs for about 1/3 the price of a new.

We just bought a No Boundaries travel trailer and our 2019 Lariat towed it like a pro. There was some grunting on the steepest part of our drive over the pass but we didn't loose speed. The Nobo is 25ft long and weighs 4100# dry. We used an E2 weight distribution hitch and a prodigy wireless brake controller. We kept the speed between 55-60mph and averaged 11.8mpg.

I guess I'm the resident porta potty guy lol
(inb4 that's a crappy job)

Here's the 12-unit trailer I've been running for the past couple months, it weighs about 4,500lbs in this picture but with heavier units it's weighed a little under 6,000 before. I get about 9.5mpg at 65mph.

I even towed it 15 miles down the beach with a half-load one time!

First pull with the Ranger towing a Yamaha SX 195. Total weight is probably a bit over 3k lbs, so no real issues. With ideal conditions pulled it most of the time in 10th gear. 20mph crosswinds on the way home it stayed mostly in 9th, and not much searching around for the right gear, so I’m impressed with that.
