I say keep the old Ranger, that's what I did. I've had my no-frills 1997 Ranger XLT since 2002. I still drive it to work everyday. I love my 2019 Ranger Lariat too. My old Ranger is the Danger Ranger, the new one is the Power Ranger. That's how the two are identified in our house.

Rotated my tires last weekend. Didn't worry about resetting TPMS because there's not anything about it or a reset procedure in the owner's manual. Asked my mechanic about it too. He says they self-locate, no need to reset.

Seems like it would be easy enough to pull 12V from the bed plug if you have the factory plug that comes with the drop-in bed liner. Seems like the harness would be close still if your truck didn't have it, and you could add it.
